Just finished watching the Baywatch film. It was so bad and cheesy I couldnt stop laughing. Really enjoyed it.

What bad films do you love?

Eurovision. Just been released on Netflix. It's Fab.

abstractzebra · 12/08/2020 23:32

I couldn't get through the Baywatch film despite quite liking Dwayne 'The Rock' and having a massive inappropriate crush on Zak Efron Blush
It is pretty bad!
My all time cheesily bad film must be Maximum Overdrive which is about machines which come to life.
Despite being rubbish, it makes me quite scared!
I believe it was one of Steven Spielberg's first films but I'm just off to check that as it might not be true!

abstractzebra · 12/08/2020 23:35

Correction- it was written by Stephen King and has nothing to do with Spielberg!

Definitely Grease 2.

Spinachfinger · 12/08/2020 23:39

The Room. Tis a cult classic for all the right wrong reasons

BogRollBOGOF · 12/08/2020 23:42

Idiocracy. Cheesily naff but did have a decent, underlying point Grin

soundsystem · 12/08/2020 23:45

Speed 2

Greydove28 · 12/08/2020 23:50

I watched Speed the other day! Didn't know there was a sequel!

Top Secret! One of Val Kilmers first films when he was at his most beautiful. Also one of the earlier spoof style movies. It's awful but I love it.

Alvertan · 12/08/2020 23:56

The Last Starfighter.

It’s a cheesy eighties film that we used to rent from the local video shop and brings back happy memories. However, I do get a bit het up at the end when a spaceship lands in a caravan park to take this young guy far far away, and the entire community just stand there waving him off as though he’s leaving for a holiday - no checking if it’s a good idea or even vaguely safe. His mum seems a bit put out but concedes that it’s ok really because he was going to have to leave home at some point..

IAmFleshIAmBone · 12/08/2020 23:59

Anything by John Waters
Some Troma stuff
Ooh another Stephen King one, the Langoliers Grin

FourFlapjacksPlease · 13/08/2020 00:01

Sharknado! So totally awful but so brilliant at the same time.

itwilldropoff · 13/08/2020 00:02

Grease 2. I say this on every thread of this nature. THE best bad film of all time with the best soundtrack to go with it.

I want a coooool rider............

No! No! I won't have it! It is not awful! It's got a singing horse. It's sheer brilliance. Grin No but seriously, it is in my top 10. I saw it in the theatre when I was 12. My brother and I still throw quotes from that film at each other. It's one of my favourite cheeseball films, along with National Lampoon's Vacation, the very first one. I have a weird crush on Chevy Chase in that film. But wasn't Val Kilmer beautiful?!

Irreversible · 13/08/2020 00:05

Wild Orchid. So cringeworthy yet oddly enjoyable Grin

IAmFleshIAmBone · 13/08/2020 00:05

No-one has mentioned The Nostril Picker (not even good, just bad but worth a mention Grin), The Sinful Dwarf, or Monsturd Grin I need to get out more...

1000umbrellas · 13/08/2020 00:09

Another person has seen the Langoliers! I thought I might be the only one! Stephen King may be responsible for a few on here-- The Lawnmower Man? Which is odd given that he's also responsible for some of the most classic horror films, The Shining etc.

SisterAgatha · 13/08/2020 00:10

Oh I agree with PP, the Room is just brilliantly bad!

Also Greta (recent horror film)

IAmFleshIAmBone · 13/08/2020 00:12

I have The Langoliers on DVD Grin

Choppedupapple · 13/08/2020 00:14

Runaway bride

DioneTheDiabolist · 13/08/2020 00:14

Tarzan in Manhatten.

Top Secret and Grease II are classics. How Silly Can You Get and I'll Be Your Girl For All Seasons are fucking timeless.Grin

MNX42 · 13/08/2020 00:14

I second Sharknado!

shellysheridan · 13/08/2020 00:19

Grease 2!
Dance till Dawn (hence my username!)
Sharknado

laffer · 13/08/2020 00:23

Snakes on a Plane, exactly what it says on the tin. Love it.
