Films with unexpectedly good soundtracks?

[mildlymiffed]

Just that really!
Does anyone know of any soundtracks from films that are unexpectedly amazing?

We drove quite a distance yesterday to get to our UK holiday destination and listened to...

The Peter Rabbit soundtrack! It's such a great soundtrack, but really unexpected! Such variety of music- and some really good tunes 🎶🎵🎶🎵!

Does anyone have anymore to share?!

Drive

500 days of summer ... Still listen to it regularly now!

I bloody love it when DD wants to watch The Pirates and Adventure With Scientists. Fab soundtrack including the jam.

Cant think of any adult ones! Apart from 9 songs which is quite saucy.

Casino
The big lebowski
Lock stock

Guardians of the Galaxy

Captain Marvel.

The 90s tunes are great, but the original score is sublime. I’m embarrassed by how often I’ve listened to it - seriously uplifting.

Practical Magic

Brokeback Mountain
Thelma and Louise
Rush
Black Rain

I second baby driver - brilliant! Tarantinos death proof too.

@Bluntasduck & @WinterAndRoughWeather today's car journeys featured pulp fiction and captain marvel! Enjoyed them both!

I'd forgotten what an awesome soundtrack pulp fiction had especially!!

I came on to say the Peter Rabbit soundtrack!

It's great! and the film was terrific!

Meet The Fockers
Toy Story

Excellent thread OP - now off to fire up Siri with these great suggestions

Sing
Perhaps not unexpected as it's about music but I love that soundtrack!

Suicide Squad.

The Mission

Shrek.

Definitely guardians of the galaxy, also A Life Less Ordinary, Moulin Rouge
MrsLJ2014
Love Sing too!!

This is so difficult, I used to want the soundtrack for nearly every movie but I cant think of any!!

I watched the history boys on the BBC iPlayer at the weekend - that had a great soundtrack of 80s school tracks

Dirty dancing!

10 Things I Hate About You
Elizabethtown
Adventureland
The Lost Boys
Stand By Me

Gladiator....but it’s not a singalong one

My favourite is Pretty in Pink!

Paris, Texas is one of my favourites.

Maybe not so much unexpected but the 2014 version of Annie! We have it on almost daily at the moment !
