Anyone else lonely and want to chat?

Feeling pretty lonely at the moment. I suffer with anxiety, so struggle to get out and make friends at the best of times, but lockdown has made it even more difficult.

I moved to the area late last year. Dd19 was home during lockdown, but has since returned to shared uni accommodation. I'm alone with my cats. Recently ended a relationship. The only person I see is my mum once a week. I don't work at the moment, although I hope to change that soon.

Anyone fancy chatting here? Anyone in a similar situation? It would be nice to have someone to talk to.

being alone doesn't mean lonely op.
but is SUCKS if you do feel lonely.
i love that you have ideas for a book but don't know where to start?
just start. and type away. ideas will come. inspiration will come.
buy yourself something that makes you happy. Do something for a stranger. to make yourself feel better. the world is beautiful and can be enjoyed to the fullest even if you are 'just' by yourself. and you have 2 beautiful children so that is wonderful in it self.
go and have coffee op. sometimes it is like going to the gym: you don't actually wanna go, but once you've done it: you realise: this is kinda great! and you will feel better.

Morning everyone. It's another scorcher here. Not sure I'll be doing very much today. @CarrieMoonbeams thanks for the comments about my dog and as for the Miss Whiplash title, well I think that ship sailed a long time ago.Grin Hello to any newbies on this thread, everyone is welcome. Just about to hang some washing out, it should be dry in about 3 mins it's that hot.

Thanks @yeahnahmum . I really should just write. I'm such a perfectionist, I get frustrated at myself.

I'm going out for coffee again! Same person, same place. Back to the beach!

It's a beautiful day here.

Lucky you @Ijustneed, I wish we lived near a beach. Enjoy your coffee and chat. Hope it goes well.

They promised me thunder and loads of rain - then I checked the forecast this morning and no thunder and no rain until tomorrow (maybe).

Thank you. It's very full at the moment, so not the best place to go, but the roof terrace wasn't full last time, so fingers crossed it's the same today.

Even if you write only 10 sentences a day :)

I had a lovely afternoon, but got home to an ill cat again. Looks like he's scratched or groomed himself sore in several places, I don't know why. All I can think is that I put flea treatment on him this morning, the spit on stuff on the back of.his neck. Alternatively I sprayed some spray that's meant to get rid of spiders the day before last. It looks really sore Sad I'm going to ring the vet in the morning, in the meantime I've bathed it with cooled boiled weak salt solution. He keeps wanting to lick it though and I don't want him to irritate it more.

To add insult to injury I've just seen a massive spider run over the living room carpet .. I'm phobic about them, so doubt I'll sleep tonight, with worrying about the cat and spiders.

Loving all the nice cats!! What great friends they are ! 😍

mrswhiplington · 13/08/2020 07:43

So sorry to hear about your cat, that sounds awful. Hope he's better soon. I know what you mean about the spiders, I'm the same but I try to think that they're more scared of us than we are of them.

We've got a big day ahead of us here. My DD gets her A level results today. After the fiasco of recent days I am just hoping it works out well for her and anyone else in the same boat. She worked so hard beforehand.
