Colour catchers. No need to be as picky with separating colours when doing the laundry.

PayPal. So easy. Too easy.

This. By the bucketload.

I now have a need for frozen sliced onions....

IvanTheDragon · 14/08/2020 18:55

@KurriKawari I was coming on this thread to say my Uncaged Ergonomics WorkEZ laptop stand and keyboard stand - super adjustable for standing/sitting in different positions, reasonably priced and collapse flat.

Perro · 14/08/2020 19:19

Apple pay on my watch, and stocard app = no more purse.

hennybeans · 14/08/2020 21:28

Coverless duvets from m and s for all three DC. They're light, dry quickly, fit in washing machine easily and probably a lot more hygienic than just washing the cover. I'm going to buy a king size one for us when our current duvet needs replacing.

Saw this on Instagram and it really works: spray bottle filled with white vinegar and 2 tbsp Fairy liquid to remove limescale. The fairy liquid keeps the vinegar from running off so that it can work! Genius.

GlummyMcGlummerson · 14/08/2020 21:40

A cool bag and picnic blanket.

The moment the sun so much as peeps put a cloud I pack it with sarnies, drinks and you can go anywhere and it's a day out!

@ThePenIsBlue

Surprised this hasn’t been mentioned yet, But my laundry basket on legs from Lakeland has genuinely made my life better. No more bending down every second to hang stuff on the line, or dragging a chair across the garden to perch the basket on. It’s brilliant.
This. I need to get one of these!!
hellswelshy · 16/08/2020 17:21

The laundry basket on legs sounds amazing Shock I want one!!

You can put store cards onto Apple Pay.

A bin by the front door

Katinski · 16/08/2020 18:02

Question about the frozen onion rings/chopped onions, please. Can you fry them from frozen so they're crisp?
Thanks.

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 16/08/2020 18:08

Mattress suspenders. You put them across underneath the corners of the mattress to hold the sheet in place. I use them on my mum's adjustable bed and the sheet and mattress protector stay in place from the day I change the sheets until I put fresh ones on instead of having to adjust them every time she goes to the loo.

BikeRunSki · 16/08/2020 18:15

@Katinski, no, they’re always kind of mushy. I don’t like them, or the additional plastic bag to throw away.

Katinski · 16/08/2020 18:19

BikeRunSki , as I'd suspected. Shame that. Thanks for your reply.

Shower squeejee and Viakal.

tararabumdeay · 16/08/2020 18:56

Paper plates.

First discovered them when camping with children who wanted snacks. Washing up when camping is a complete pain.

Then, when the kitchen was being refitted paper plates became invaluable as nowhere to wash up for a couple of days.

After, morning toast before work if I didn't want to leave a side plate on the side due to taking longer over eye shadow than breakfast.

I know some people will comment on environmental considerations but the fact that water, soap and probably heat, are involved in washing up I think it's ok occasionally.

TrickyD · 16/08/2020 19:00

tararabundeay we use them for the cat’s food. Everyone hated washing up his meaty plates.

tararabumdeay · 16/08/2020 19:20

Aww, we've got a next door's cat to look after for reasons. I hate washing up and meat but his plates are always first to be washed, stacked and ready for his feed me meeow.

Cat will happily eat off the ground!

Nsky · 16/08/2020 19:26

Dishwasher, only cat and I, do much cleaner and easier

IwishIwasyoda · 16/08/2020 19:36

OMG coverless duvets - i'm off googling now

CorianderLord · 16/08/2020 20:38

An avocado tool - slice with one end, stone out with middle tool and segment with third tool.

Also - if anyone knows where to buy some white, flared rim tea cups I'd appreciate it. Used a friends at the weekend and they were lush.

Last Pass (stores all my passwords)
Amazon Prime
Heated car seat cover (Aldi)
Nespresso coffee machine (no cleaning out filters)
Buying extra school sports kit (inevitably items get lots)
Drawer of small change in hall
An electric overlanket. I've had traditional electric blankets, heated duvets, but this remains the best.
Potato peeler
Ear buds for Android phone (can make phonecalls while phone charges)
Plug sockets with USBs

HandsOffMyRights · 16/08/2020 21:09

I want a robot vaccum cleaner. Do they do stairs?

I have a large hallway and inherited a dark carpet that collects bits quickly.
How long do they hold their charge for?

I have a Dyson cordless V6 and sad to say it was not a gamechanger for me.

TrickyD · 16/08/2020 21:16

HandsOff,
There is a long thread here which will tell you all you need to know about robot vacuums.
