How much do you think a cake similar to these would cost?

Wanted to know a rough figure first! Thank you x

I have no idea because Iv never bought a hand made cake however I fully expect this to turn into a huge bun fight about people not understanding how much time / ingredients / money it costs to make cakes like it normally does

So don’t mind me just place marking ready for the drama Grin

Grin

Around 60-80, depending on How many it fed.

I don’t know, how much is Joy wanting to pay?

I’m guessing it’s £100+ It looks complex.

At least £70

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 03/08/2020 15:00

Around £80.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 03/08/2020 15:00

At least £80. It looks quite detailed. The decoration would take a good few hours.

KittyHawke80 · 03/08/2020 15:01

£150.

Russell19 · 03/08/2020 15:01

I recently paid £40 for a standard round cake to feed 20 so I'd say for this one £60-70 would be reasonable.

Clevererthanyou · 03/08/2020 15:02

Depends where you live for a start. I’m from a small skint village and the price would start at £90 for something with that much detail.

manchestermom5 · 03/08/2020 15:03

£150

Pascha · 03/08/2020 15:04

I would expect to pay £100ish I'd be pleasantly surprised to pay £80 and worry that £60 wouldn't get me a good quality cake.

lughnasadh · 03/08/2020 15:04

£75 ish.

MorbidMuch · 03/08/2020 15:05

£80+ depending on how big you wanted it.

AldiAisleofCrap · 03/08/2020 15:05

£80

Divebar · 03/08/2020 15:06

I thought £70 £80 from an individual but from a bakery over £100

sageandroses · 03/08/2020 15:12

£100 at least

ClashCityRocker · 03/08/2020 15:13

Somewhere between £80 - £100 I think.

BertieBassettsBits · 03/08/2020 15:13

I think well over £100, that's a lot of work perhaps £150?

Janaih · 03/08/2020 15:14

As good as the photos, 140-150 quid.

BobFleming · 03/08/2020 15:15

I wouldn't pay more than £60 for it.

AlphaDalpha · 03/08/2020 15:16

£100? Maybe they'd do some Vestax cheaper?

Meganplays · 03/08/2020 15:16

If Joy is making it in her own kitchen and under valuing her time £60-£70.

If Joy is running a bakery £120.

BigRedBoat · 03/08/2020 15:16

Depends on the size, at least £100 though

Lovelydovey · 03/08/2020 15:16

The first is more detailed than the second - would have guessed around £250 for the first and £150 for the second. To be fair I would never pay that as I can make a decent cake myself though would be decorated with smarties and buttons rather than a turntable....

BikeRunSki · 03/08/2020 15:16

£80-100
