What, if anything, do you collect?

As per the title really just for interest. For example one lady was talking on another thread about new mugs for her collection.

There's things I'd like to collect, but my one bed flat lacks both space and storage...

@Thingsarel00kingup What sort of glass do you collect? Can we see an example, please?

Serena1977 · 23/07/2020 22:32

Fridge magnets!

DangerousMouse · 23/07/2020 22:33

Houseplants, it's like living in a bloody jungle

FrangipaniBlue · 23/07/2020 22:35

@HowFastIsTooFast

A fridge magnet and a Christmas decoration from everywhere I've travelled. I don't like clutter so they're ideal, one sits on the fridge and the other only comes out once a year, decorating the tree is literally a whole world of memories Smile
I do this too!!!!!

Fridge magnets from everywhere we visit, Christmas decorations from special holidays

Takeitonthechin · 23/07/2020 22:37

Absolute shite friends

Hedgesfullofbirds · 23/07/2020 22:37

Clocks, mechanical, wind up ones, not battery clocks, barometers, old agricultural
bits and pieces and vintage scientific instruments. Oh, and books too.

PharmaLlama · 23/07/2020 22:41

I love collecting things! Mostly coins, rocks, and Lego mini figures. I’ve collected some bizarre things over the years like bus tickets.

Pebble21uk · 23/07/2020 22:44

Limited edition whisky (when I had the money!), signed first edition books (ditto) and religious icons (I'm not religious)

sohypnotic · 23/07/2020 22:47

Christmas tree decorations
Nutcrackers (of the Christmas sort)
Skull and Cat artwork/ornaments

TroysMammy · 23/07/2020 22:48

Paperweights but I'm not an active collector.

Postcards, I have been collecting scenery postcards for 40 years but that's gone quiet in the last few years.

My niece is going to be so thrilled when my Will is read, hopefully in years to come Grin

mynameisntlouise · 23/07/2020 22:52

We get a fridge magnet whenever we visit somewhere notable, day trip to the zoo or Yorvik etc and holidays, we usually both choose one from a holiday.

Titsywoo · 23/07/2020 22:57

Snowglobes - DH travels a lot with work and always gets me one from new cities. Hopefully now we have some more money I'll be able to go on holiday and get a few for myself!

utterlynutty · 23/07/2020 23:06

Christmas tree decorations. I buy a decoration from places we visit on holiday.Family members have started bringing me some from their travels too.For me ,our Christmas tree is a tree of happy memories.

Redraptor · 24/07/2020 06:25

Special 50ps. Everytime I shop I ask for my change in 50ps (if it's not a ridiculous amount) in the hope of finding a special one, I've got a large collection.

Chanel05 · 24/07/2020 06:41

Fridge magnets from any city/ country I visit abroad.

BadgeronaMoped · 24/07/2020 08:14

Pebbles/rocks, seaglass, seashells, vintage/antique charms and bones. I love collecting things Grin

Hiccupiscal · 24/07/2020 08:31

Alice in wonderland books
Sea glass
Love antiques and nick nacks, but have to be careful the house doesn't start looking like a charity shop!
50p's as and when they come to me.

fairydustandpixies · 24/07/2020 08:32

Postcards - but they have to be from a historical attraction where I volunteer, over 100yrs old and written/posted. I love them! Some of the messages on the back are what we would ping as a text - I'll be there 5pm tomorrow, will meet you on the corner/thanks so much for the scuttle, much appreciated/got your letter, will write back later this week...

I also collect 'special' 50p coins, odd pets and ex husbands 😬😂

ProfessorRapson · 24/07/2020 09:15

Ceramics and glassware, both contemporary and vintage. Other miscellaneous knick knacks. Art. I was pondering boxing everything up last night to see what living in a minimalist space might be like but, where would we store the boxes?!

Planesmistakenforstars · 24/07/2020 11:24

Whiskey, rum, tequila, vintage glassware and cocktail shakers.

MinnieJackson · 24/07/2020 21:14

Crystal's and books but 6 bookcases are full so I have to clear out regularly Confused

TwoZeroTwoZero · 24/07/2020 21:41

Fridge magnets from anywhere touristy, even if it's local.

Lenses and camera equipment!
