To think the Princess Beatrice photos released by e RF are a bit naff?

I love a good Royal wedding I do and was looking forward to seeing the portrait pictures of Beatrice at Buckingham Palace like we have with other royal weddings.

So was disappointed that this is what the RF have released news.sky.com/story/princess-beatrice-wedding-first-photos-from-ceremony-show-royal-in-queens-dress-and-tiara-12031462

I'd love to say she looks gorgeous, and I'm sure she does but I can't tell! Is it just me who thinks they look like they've been taken with an iPhone from afar by a fan in a bush or something?

I was 7 the first time that dress was worn! Shock

SundayReilly · 19/07/2020 08:53

I am not a fan of the royals generally.
Have to say though she looks lovely and it appears to have been a low key affair - obviously getting married was more important than a massive do.
Great contrast to that pantomime in May 2018.
Good luck to them .

CallmeAngelina · 19/07/2020 08:55

@MargotMoon

They look like a pair of grinning idiots.
Really? Hmm You thought it necessary to go to the effort of posting that unpleasant remark?

Who cares. It’s not your wedding Grin

I bet your wedding photos are probably boring to the general public too. I know mine would be.

CallmeAngelina · 19/07/2020 08:57

[quote Bouledeneige]The line is in this photo - running vertically down into the groom's head. It would seem hard to splice a picture through a couple but the line just looks odd. Maybe its only in this version?

I think that line is just an unfortunate angle and is something from inside the porch behind them.
Blimey, some people are intent on finding something dodgy out of nothing.

tara66 · 19/07/2020 09:00

Love them (photos) and love the idea of a wedding costing less than million £. She got it right. Glad queen helped and supported her.

flapjackfairy · 19/07/2020 09:01

I think she looks beautiful and the dress is gorgeous. Lovely happy photos. So nice to see . I wish them every happiness .

Figgygal · 19/07/2020 09:03

I thought they were lovely and they looked happy

SoupDragon · 19/07/2020 09:04

They're lovely photos. Of course they aren't going to be the same as other royal weddings as they can't get close for group shots.

I'd love to say she looks gorgeous, and I'm sure she does but I can't tell!

Should have gone to Specsavers 😂😂 The photos aren't unclear at all.

wowfudge · 19/07/2020 09:05

What is it with posters putting the boot in re: Meghan? It's like they can't help themselves.

I thought this private wedding hit just the right note for the circumstances and shows that for Beatrice and her husband the important thing was to get married.

SoupDragon · 19/07/2020 09:05

I've just read that the dress is one belonging to the Queen which was re-modelled!

floralf · 19/07/2020 09:06

I think they are lovely photos, she looks beautiful

category12 · 19/07/2020 09:07

They're quite fortunate about Covid tbh and having to do it on the quiet.

Bit difficult PR with bloody Daddy.

THisbackwithavengeance · 19/07/2020 09:08

I am happy for her. She and her sister have always been subject to a lot of unwarranted spite from the media and general public.

SoupDragon · 19/07/2020 09:09

The one outside the church with the Queen and Prince Phillip looks photoshopped - with that line down it.

You are imagining things.

BobFleming · 19/07/2020 09:13

I bet they said, 'I suppose we ought to do a social distancing photo to release to the proles' and that's the one we got.

I love the one with all the flowers. I'm not mad about the dress and the odd sleeves, but the sentiment is nice.

Mrsemcgregor · 19/07/2020 09:14

Philip is looking very well! Much better than I’ve seen him looking for years I think.

Those flowers around the chapel doors, absolutely heavenly.

Pobblebonk · 19/07/2020 09:15

@justanotherneighinparadise

I like the second one in that link, she looks radiant!

I do feel sorry for her to be honest. She’s marrying a man who already has a child and seems to have abandoned his former relationship directly he had the opportunity to better himself socially. He father is in hiding. She’s trying to get married in the middle of a pandemic whilst mindful that her fertile years are slipping through an egg timer.

FFS, he split up from his ex almost a year before starting a relationship with Princess Beatrice. And at 31 she's hardly short of time to have children, if she wants them.
Mrscaindingle · 19/07/2020 09:17

I am not a fan of the RF and would happily see the back of the lot of them tomorrow but even I found those pictures and the story of how they organised the wedding at the last minute heartwarming. Loved the whole vibe of it.
I think future Royal brides could take a leaf out of Beatrice's book if the RF really want to convince us they are value for money.

Notredamn · 19/07/2020 09:17

Oh I think they are lovely.

So sorry you feel disappointed, I'm sure it's not personal and they didn't mean to let you down 🤣

ThatDamnScientist · 19/07/2020 09:18

I think they are the nicest RF wedding photos. So natural. She looks radiant, love the photo where she is looking out from the church. Beautiful, both her and the dress.

emilybrontescorsett · 19/07/2020 09:20

They both look stunning.
Very classy dress.

KaronAVyrus · 19/07/2020 09:20

I thought the photos were lovely. At a time where so many are going through financial turmoil wearing her grandma’s dress was a nice touch. Beatrice can’t help who her father is.

LivingOnAnIsland · 19/07/2020 09:21

Only two photos have been released and she looks gorgeous in both. Beatrice clearly thinks that being married is more important than the wedding and it's great that they went ahead with a relatively simple day (as simple as you can get when you've got the Queen's wedding tiara on your head).

UnitedRoad · 19/07/2020 09:22

I love them!
