To think the Princess Beatrice photos released by e RF are a bit naff?

I love a good Royal wedding I do and was looking forward to seeing the portrait pictures of Beatrice at Buckingham Palace like we have with other royal weddings.

So was disappointed that this is what the RF have released news.sky.com/story/princess-beatrice-wedding-first-photos-from-ceremony-show-royal-in-queens-dress-and-tiara-12031462

I'd love to say she looks gorgeous, and I'm sure she does but I can't tell! Is it just me who thinks they look like they've been taken with an iPhone from afar by a fan in a bush or something?

I think the main thing about the official photos is that her parents aren't in any of them - I suspect that was the priority.

KurriKawari · 19/07/2020 08:27

It was a hush hush. They didnt want the focus to be on her peado dad, not that seems to bother the queen much or any of the royal family.

dementedma · 19/07/2020 08:29

Jeez, not a Royal fan but some utterly bitchy comments from some people on here and wider social media. She didn't choose her father or his behaviour, the same as the rest of us! She looked happy and fabulous on her wedding day. To paraphrase my mother, if you can't say anything nice, shut the fuck up

I thought the pics were nice. I don’t blame them for only releasing a couple. Poor girl, she can’t help her father. I hope she had a lovely day.

TheVanguardSix · 19/07/2020 08:31

I think they're beautiful. I think they're the absolute opposite of naff.
It's refreshing to see a real wedding, one without Oprah, showboating, and void of bells and whistles. Low key, beautiful, classy. It's clearly about them wanting to just have an intimate, beautiful celebration.
I think socially distanced weddings give people a brilliant excuse to have the wedding they really want.

slipperywhensparticus · 19/07/2020 08:33

Its the girls wedding csn we not just ignore his dads existence? On this thread at least? Poor kid has enough of a stigma personally I hope she legs it away

EdithWeston · 19/07/2020 08:33

I really like the pix

And such an honour to be given permission to wear that tiara (a favourite of the Queen's, and the one she wore when she married)

diddl · 19/07/2020 08:35

I think that she looks lovely.

Love the dress.

And the tiara-wow!

The one that HM wore for her own wedding!

HM looks delighted-think it shows what great relationship they have.

Mightymurphy · 19/07/2020 08:36

Just wow.

She can’t win.

Mrsmadevans · 19/07/2020 08:36

I love the way they have sensitively reacted to the Covid situation and acted accordingly. It's refreshing, original, climate change friendly, family orientated and stunning. I rarely use that word but they have hit every nail on the head . It's beautiful and l so hope this is the way weddings go in the future. Wishing them a very happy life together.

Dreamersandwishers · 19/07/2020 08:36

I think it’s perfect. Dress is lovely, really like that it’s not new; the tiara is a very kind tough by grandma; the flowers are stunning and while we couldn’t have afforded that, I certainly don’t begrudge her.
Great model for all future royal weddings, pandemic or not.

MrsNoah2020 · 19/07/2020 08:37

@MargotMoon

They look like a pair of grinning idiots.
You sound nice Hmm
Pogmella · 19/07/2020 08:37

Apparently they had a party in a marquee with 14 mates which surely would have been contra to health advice?

Port1aCastis · 19/07/2020 08:37

The girl cant help who her father is can she. I hope she and her new husband are very hspoy and mabage to stay out of the media bitch machine.
The pica are lovely as are the dress and flowers, obviously not taken by a twat with an iphone

NerrSnerr · 19/07/2020 08:37

She looks beautiful and when I saw them last night I commented to my husband how beautiful her dress was before I knew it was the Queens.

She doesn't have to look a certain way, have a certain photo with the right people or tell anyone other than guests when she is getting married just because she is royal.

Leflic · 19/07/2020 08:39

No, I think the whole thing comes across as very “ of the moment”. I’d say cool but that sounds too contrived. It all looks perfect and very happy and relaxed.
Bea couldn’t have done better than that dress.

MrsNoah2020 · 19/07/2020 08:40

The poor woman can't help who either of her parents are.

The dress isn't to my taste, but she looks as if she feels beautiful in it, and that's the important thing. I wish them a happy life which, if they have got any sense, they will spend out of the limelight.

randomer · 19/07/2020 08:41

They don't look as "grinny" as Kate , who overdoes it a bit imo.

Good luck to them, I wouldn't wish them any harm but I think the main motivation for low key ,was her father.

Meghans bash looks slightly toe curling looking back. Mind you my toes were curling on the day itself.

diddl · 19/07/2020 08:41

I love the one of her peering round the chapel door.

And those flowers!

yomommasmomma · 19/07/2020 08:42

Beautiful pictures and a beautiful dress. Finally a dress that is a bit different to the usual, strapless monstrosities that everyone seems to wear now.

Evelefteden · 19/07/2020 08:45

She looks lovely and I love the dress. It’s lovely she borrowed it from her nanna!

Holyrivolli · 19/07/2020 08:46

Beautiful pictures and the bride looks lovely. Her dress and tiara are stunning. As others have said how refreshing to see simple natural pics.

TwentyViginti · 19/07/2020 08:47

Such a lovely vintage feel to those pics. The flowers round the door - stunning!

MorbidMuch · 19/07/2020 08:49

If you look on The Royal Family's page on Facebook you will see much better quality images. Sky News seem to have zoomed in and cropped the photo of the happy couple. The original is far nicer.

I think they are lovely photos and as others have said, it looks like they are all so happy to be there and to celebrate out of the public eye for the main. The flowers, dress, and tiara are stunning and Princess Beatrice is glowing. They all look really relaxed and like they are enjoying the day.

Congratulations to them both!

Janaih · 19/07/2020 08:50

She looks beautiful and happy. Really classy photos. Congrats to them.
