Dh has been using the dog shampoo

I’m always having a bit of a war with dh about not using my “nice” shampoos. I buy the huge hairdresser bottles of L’Oréal which are pretty pricey and specific to my hair type.
Over lockdown I’ve reverted to more whatever is on offer at the supermarket.

Anyhow was in the shower earlier and picked up the dog shampoo bottle to move it out of the way - it’s half empty! Dog hasn’t been bathed for a very long while - so dh has been slathering himself one coconut dog shampoo (no doubt assuming it was my “posh stuff”.

I feel rather pleased about this

Has he got a nice shiny coat? No fleas or ticks presumably :)

Am wondering if he will alps grow a waggly tail

He'll be barking mad if he finds out.

Perhaps it will give him some paws for though next time he reaches for my shampoo

When we were last on holiday I had decanted toiletries and meds into those small plastic bottles you get.
I found my dh had showered using my (labeled) gaviscon

Dh has had dog related incidents before - can in rather worse for wear once after a stag do or similar - I’d gone to bed and told him I’d left some leftover dinner on the side - rather than the pasta I’d left - he ate the dogs chicken and rice out of the fridge and assumed it was risotto 😂

How much is that doggy in the wiiiiiiiiindow? The one with the waggly tail (and shiny coat as it happens).

Is his nose wet? Has he got a lovely shiny coat?
Or is he feeling ruff?

Does this shampoo actually say 'for dogs' or has a picture of a dog on it?

@coconutcoconutcrack it’s got like a cartoonish type dog on the front - perhaps not super easy to notice if you’re mid shower

I expect dog shampoo is designed for sensitive skin, it's probably very good.

A friend of mine bought tins of posh cat food with prawns in. She later discovered her husband had been taking them to work for his lunch. He said they were very nice.

My daughter does use the doggie shampoo! It makes her hair smell lovely and bizarrely seems to keep it clean for longer!

Hahaha! My DH thought femfresh was a shampoo until I said "how can I have run out already? Only use a pea size every day" 😂

Another one here who has had to ban DH from my nice bottles when good old Alberto balsam does perfectly fine for inch long man hair!!

The dog shampoo I buy has a really nice, mild scent. It doesn’t lather as much as the ordinary human stuff but if your fancy shampoo is SLS free that will produce less lather too. My (dog’s) stuff also neutralises unpleasant odours, so it’s perfect for stinky males

@rainbows93 I thought my DH was the only one who did that😂 He actually said that the “peach” shampoo really suits his hair 😂

This is reminding me of 'fat balls' man, who ate the fat balls for the birds.

It was a tube of Vagisil I left on the sink and forgot to put away.

Saying that, I have pet head shampoo for my dogs and it smells lovely.

Wouldn’t use it on my hair...but I’ll have to see if I can get Dh to use it in his!

I'm desperate to hear what happens when he finds out.
