Dh has been using the dog shampoo

I’m always having a bit of a war with dh about not using my “nice” shampoos. I buy the huge hairdresser bottles of L’Oréal which are pretty pricey and specific to my hair type.
Over lockdown I’ve reverted to more whatever is on offer at the supermarket.

Anyhow was in the shower earlier and picked up the dog shampoo bottle to move it out of the way - it’s half empty! Dog hasn’t been bathed for a very long while - so dh has been slathering himself one coconut dog shampoo (no doubt assuming it was my “posh stuff”.

I feel rather pleased about this Grin

It does smell lovely. Am looking closely at dh’s hair now. It does look quite healthy... hmmm

Sounds like you need to keep him on a short leash.

@Fressia123

My daughter does use the doggie shampoo! It makes her hair smell lovely and bizarrely seems to keep it clean for longer!
Which one does she use? Grin

Soubriquet · 18/07/2020 15:51

Almost as bad as the dh who used dettol wipes on his face...and then wondered why his face was starting to get sore Hmm

Sunnydayshereatlast · 18/07/2020 15:56

Bet he is already trying to lick his own balls!!

spiderlight · 18/07/2020 16:00

Ha that’s hilarious 😂 earlier this year I was going away with work for a week and on the morning I was leaving reminded DH to water my plants, they’re nothing fancy just a few pots on the kitchen windowsill. When I came home my poor plants were full of this disgusting gunky slimy stuff. I was Hmm and he apparently couldn’t understand why either. Turned out that when I was asking him to water them I was preparing a glass of fybogel (for me to take! I have IBS) and he presumed it was for the plants so had been feeding them fucking fybogel all week 🤦🏻‍♀️

RedRumTheHorse · 18/07/2020 16:27

LOL

Just buy him replacement bottles when it runs out and don't ever tell him.

Well tell him at some point next year...

Idontkowmyname · 18/07/2020 16:27

Am I the only person wondering if it’s safe for human use?

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 18/07/2020 16:34

Hope he isn't fur-ious when he realises.
Maybe buy him a dog brush for his coat?

2bazookas · 18/07/2020 16:39

Dunno, but you might be the only one who cares :-)

It will be safe...I mean you CAN use baby shampoo on dogs fur but their skin is very sensitive to these sort of products so it can irritate it

Dog shampoo has none of these in which is why it’s safe to use. But it will be fine for humans too

And I’m surprised he managed to get the fibrogel to work for a week.

I had to take it when I was severely constipated during pregnancy and if I didn’t drink it within half an hour, it was a gel!

The fat balls thread is in Classics I think. It's very funny.

handslikecowstits · 18/07/2020 16:55

Whistle for him, see what happens.

ThisAintNoDisco · 18/07/2020 16:57

Call him by slapping your thighs enthusiastically and saying "Come on then! Whose a good boy! Come on!" (as Rodney and Del did in Only Fools when Albert had been taking the dogs vitamin tablets).

Dying at some of these. I'm afraid I have no contribution, although I did just awaken with a start (sans spectacles) to answer a ringing phone, to find it was DH's phone ringing anyway not mine, and I was trying to grasp a small bread board. If that counts.

Sunnydayshereatlast · 18/07/2020 16:59

Sick of dc eating too many biscuits a few weeks ago I put 2 ddog biscuits in the tin. Ds11 confessed he ate 2...

jenniuol · 18/07/2020 17:07

@Soubriquet he was using a new sachet every time 🙈

Dk20 · 18/07/2020 17:09

Reminded me of the fat balls thread too 🤣

(Glad to find out I'm not the only person that thinks dp shouldn't be using my expensive shampoo and should use the cheap stuff instead Smile)

Jinglebellissimo · 18/07/2020 17:10

Told the dog - he thinks it’s funny

Dh has been using the dog shampoo

Jinglebellissimo · 18/07/2020 17:16

@Dk20 to be fair in order of cost - it goes my shampoo, dog shampoo and then dh gets the Alberto stuff.
Mine is for fine frizzy hair - dh obviously prefers one for a glossy coat

I’m surprised he didn’t look at the sachet and think “why am I giving flowers this?!”
