From One Foot in The Grave: ''I'm sorry, what language are you talking in now? It appears to be bollocks''. I'm so stealing that! I even have an ongoing bureaucratic situation I have in mind I may switch "bollocks" for "nonsense" though
Mine are:
God damn it, you bitch. You never backed away from anything in your life. Now fight. FIGHT FIIIIGHT
From the abyss
Context is key the character is trying to motivate his ex wife that he's still in love with but who drives him (and everyone else!) nuts to stay/come back to life. I think it's the most romantic quote ever! Beats all the "I love you's" hands down
Also the abyss and actually the latter part bloody good advice for life:
Coffey looks and he sees Russians. He sees hate and fear. You have to look with better eyes than that.!
Particularly pertinent with regard to racism and bigotry:
@GimmeAy is that from stepmom? I find that movie such a hard watch as I'm in a potentially similar situation to that of Susan Sarandon a character.
The line that kills me is
my fear is she'll be thinking I wish my mom was here
and my fear is...she won't
Tons from Friends but the one I find especially moving is.
And when that day finally comes, I'll learn how to be a good dad, but my wife, she's already there. She's a mother without a baby
I had dd by this point but I'd lost 3 before her and I remember that feeling of being scared I'd never be a mother so well, compounded by the knowledge that Courteney cox had similar struggles and was filming those scenes pregnant and desperately hoping she wouldn't mc again herself.
