This is one of my favourites. I love Mad Men and thought this summed up Don.

From Coronation Street. Hilda is wearing lipstick and Stanley gives her a kiss and he says what's that taste and she replied woman Stanley woman!

Loads but am in between meetings. Here's one:

Kramer: The bus is outta control. So I grab him by the collar, I take him out of the seat, I get behind the wheel, and now I’m driving the bus.

Jerry: Wow.

George: You’re Batman.

Kramer: Yeah, yeah, I am Batman. Then the mugger, he comes to and he starts choking me. So I’m fighting him off with one hand and I kept driving the bus with the other, ya know. Then I managed to open up the door and I kicked him out the door, ya know, with my foot, ya know, at the next stop.

Jerry: You kept making all the stops?

Kramer: Well, people kept ringing the bell.

"You're about as guilty as a puppy sitting next to a pile of poo"
Blackadder Goes Forth, the episode where Edmund is accused as the Flanders Pigeon MURDERER!!!

Same film,
Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man?

No, have you?.

Best film ever.

CassandraCross · 09/07/2020 19:47

geordiema77 oft quoted here from that same Blackadder episode, particularly when someone is spouting incomprehensible rubbish:

I'm just a gabbler me, no finesse, no style just readyaimfire.Grin

From Pulp Fiction

Any of you fucking pricks move, and I'll execute every motherfucking last one of ya!

EugenesAxe · 09/07/2020 21:52

@Doublevodka there are so many from Phoenix Nights; one of my favourite shows. The other Sammy Snake classic is "That's inflatable filth that is!"

Probably my favourite from film is 'That's no moon.... it's a space station'.

Or about a gazillion from Hunt for the Wilderpeople... probably 'Shit just got real!', or '"Faulkner is cauc-asian" - well, they got that wrong because you're obviously white.'

wanderings · 09/07/2020 22:01

Here's one I've seen quoted, but I'm not sure where it's from:

"Isn't life complicated?"
"It's not as complicated as the Crystal Maze. Now that is one complicated bastard."

wanderings · 09/07/2020 22:05

In The Thin Blue Line, Rudolph Walker answering the phone, and speaking in very slowly, and very deadpan:
"Gasforth police station... ooooooh, dear. Well, have you tried calling the kitten's name? Well, how about shaking the branch? Well, how about putting a saucer of milk at the bottom of the tree?"

Needhelp101 · 09/07/2020 22:23

"On any other day, that would seem strange" - Con Air

"I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure" Aliens (comes in surprisingly handy in a variety of situations)

"And I know what for. Ten bob per toy, and a fiver for his arse!" - Withnail and I

Too many to mention from the Cornetto Trilogy but an honourable mention to Bill Night talking about a recent zombie bite, "It's OK Barbara, I ran it under a cold tap!"

Needhelp101 · 09/07/2020 22:25

Ffs, "ten bob per tit" Hmm

hanka · 09/07/2020 22:57

Majesticaaaal!!!
And Taika Waititi’s priest’s funeral speech. And many more...

hanka · 09/07/2020 22:58

Sorry, that was meant for @Eugenes

MotherofPearl · 09/07/2020 22:59

Blackadder: “Baldrick, you wouldn't recognise a subtle plan if it painted itself purple and danced naked on a harpsicord singing 'subtle plans are here again'.”

LittlemissAWOL · 09/07/2020 23:06

I want you to go into that bag and find my wallet
Which one is it?
It's the one that says bad motherfucker

Tbh I could do loads from pulp fiction I absolutely love the whole film and pretty much know every word.

EugenesAxe · 09/07/2020 23:45

So many good ones on here - particularly loved ‘Antici...pation!’ and the Monty Python ones.

Yes @hanka I forgot the sermon! The vegetables bit is brilliant.

Napoleon Dynamite has a few classic lines too; ‘Do you think anyone thinks I’m a failure because I go home to Starla at night?! Forget about it!’

‘Do the chickens have large talons?’
‘I don’t understand a word you just said.’

Needhelp101 · 09/07/2020 23:54

Subtle plans are here again 😁
Blackadder has too many good lines!
"Just a wild stab in the dark, which is incidentally what you'll be getting if you don't start being a bit more helpful"
