A Gucci handbag and dinner in a Michelin starred restaurant

earthyfire · 07/07/2020 16:46

A trip to Philiadelphia and Las Vagas....was an amazing trip and spent my birthday at the Grand Canon.

Hmmm some of you live in a very different world to me!!! He got me a set of le cruset pots (second hand) which I love, a down jacket and something else small I can't remember. We had a very casual party at our local curry house with all of our friends and loads of kids running about.

For his I got him an inflatable kayak, a weekend away in the UK and we had a mega party but that was before DS.

Happy with my lot but some of you have very extravagant birthdays Grin

I got a Bose sound dock. Something we'd discussed getting as a family, not a personal gift. It ended up in the kitchen and our DDs used it most of the time. I listen to music all the time, but via headphones - not out loud.

It felt really impersonal, to be honest, and whilst I smiled, I felt my heart sink just a little bit Hmm.

Gold watch and a trip to Paris. This was 15 years ago though!

EmmaJR1 · 07/07/2020 16:51

Spa stay, sapphire and diamond earrings, flowers and cupcakes.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 07/07/2020 16:53

A night away in a posh hotel and dinner at Monica Galleti's (sp?) restaurant.

totorosfluffytummy · 07/07/2020 16:53

Box of chocolates. He's exP now!

spiderlight · 07/07/2020 16:54

A DSLR camera. I love it so much - it's brought me hours and hours of pleasure over the years.

Autumnchill · 07/07/2020 16:57

We went to Vegas but can't recall a specific gift other than the actual day which was helicopter ride with champagne breakfast at the Grand Canyon, shopping and then meal at Gordon Ramsey's and Carrot Top comedy show.

squeaver · 07/07/2020 17:01

A trip to New York and a new desk.

JellyfishandShells · 07/07/2020 17:03

A garden bench ( my request ) Also involved resiting of a rose and laying some paving so not just a purchase.

SingleHandSue · 07/07/2020 17:08

Wow, some very generous gifts here!

I had a meal out with my family and a spa day with my best friend.

We did talk about booking my first ever holiday abroad, a weekend city break somewhere later this year. Then COVID happened and I’ve lost my job so unlikely to afford to do that until my 50th now!

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 07/07/2020 17:08

My DH was so sick with cancer, but he managed his chemo around a wonderful cottage break for the two of us. he was so unwell. Nine years on he’s still here.

MashedPotatoBrainz · 07/07/2020 17:11

Nothing. I think we went somewhere for lunch. We don't really bother with presents for adults as he'll buy me whatever I want/need when I see it.

Pipandmum · 07/07/2020 17:12

A weekend at Maison aux Quartre Saison and my first mobile phone!

DelurkingAJ · 07/07/2020 17:15

Necklace, a gorgeous jumper, flowers and a requested silk nightie. He was going to organise a party but COVID has got in the way...I’m told we’ll have it next year!

EsmesRedPetticoat · 07/07/2020 17:15

A trip to Paris (although that was also our honeymoon) and a new suspender belt (not in a pervy way - I prefer stockings to tights and I needed a new one)

Greenkit · 07/07/2020 17:17

Nothing..we are now divorced

fortysomething78 · 07/07/2020 17:25

A lovely necklace from a shop I like called Rosie Brown.
It's his next year and I haven't got a clue what I'll get him.

Echobelly · 07/07/2020 17:25

We went to the Affordable Art Fair and I chose a print that hangs in our bedroom
