A wonderful surprise party abroad.
Friends and family there - all a complete surprise.
Lovely long weekend.
Then found out he'd met the OW whilst planning all this.
So really, he got me a divorce!

An hours horse riding lesson.
It was on my bucket list. Genuinely nice surprise gift!

Spied · 07/07/2020 15:43

£40 in a card.
£1 for each year apparently.Hmm

LadyofMisrule · 07/07/2020 15:54

YorkieTheRabbit · 07/07/2020 15:59

A diamond ring, chickens 🐓 and a chicken coup, flowers,Smile

MrsPerfect12 · 07/07/2020 16:02

A ring, air pods and a nice gin. Supposed to have a party but it's been cancelled. Hoping to have it next year. X

Some simple silver stud earrings from Stephen Einhorn that I'd been lusting after.

Because he'd agreed to go on a work course in another city on my birthday (which I wasn't overly impressed about) I arranged to drop the kids off with his mother and had a rare day to myself, met him after work and he was taking me to a Michelin starred restaurant. Grin

We won't be doing that again until at least his 50th - I think it cost about a month's mortgage paymentShock (although at least I didn't demand anything more luxurious than the Travelodge he was staying in for work).

JoeWicksSurvivor · 07/07/2020 16:05

A card and a bunch of flowers (not even a bouquet) but I was happy with that as we also went out for a nice pub lunch and a lovely walk.

bookmum08 · 07/07/2020 16:06

I wanted Lego so we went to the Lego Store. Can't remember if we went to Leicester Square branch or Westfield. If LS we probably had Pizza Hut for lunch, if Westfield it would have been Burger King (even though the Westfield BK is terrible). I would love to go to Billund for my 50th but not sure if we would be able to afford it. A few years to save...

For my birthday, dh took me to a lovely restaurant with rooms near us in Cornwall for dinner, bed and breakfast.

My present came about 3 months later, when we were in Antwerp. We found a jeweller who made me a pair of diamond earrings to my specification in about 3 hours. I love them to bits.

monkeyonthetable · 07/07/2020 16:09

Diamond pendant, weekend away (with kids) and a surprise party. He did well.

sparkli · 07/07/2020 16:11

A Caribbean cruise

JillGoodacre · 07/07/2020 16:11

A weekend away child free with my friends and we had a big holiday to South Africa at Christmas as it's between our birthdays

summerfish · 07/07/2020 16:13

A surprise cruise. Parents came to look after the children. He'd even arranged onboard WiFi so we could Skype the children daily so we didn't worry.

Was fabulous. Glad we managed it a few months before COVID changed everything.

Lindylooboo · 07/07/2020 16:14

A ring from Tiffany. Not a huge diamond or anything. It's a silver band with a key hole and two little diamonds on either side of the key hole. I love it and wear it a lot more than my engagement ring.

QueenMabby · 07/07/2020 16:16

A piano. It was a very frivolous purchase as I don’t play but have always wanted one. I’m teaching myself but it’s not going well! 🤣🤣

mbosnz · 07/07/2020 16:17

He got me an experience at our local wildlife park - it was possible to go into the cheetah enclosure, and if they deigned to do so, they would come to you of their own free will. I had a cheetah come and sit with me, and stick his whacking great paw over my hand, and give me a wash.

It was amazing.

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 07/07/2020 16:18

Cartier watch which I'd chosen!! I had a quiet Sunday lunch with family and close friends which is what I wanted. For his last year he got a Rolex and several parties!

RJnomore1 · 07/07/2020 16:21

An Apple Watch and surprise holiday in Rome, I had always wanted to go. And a nice meal out with the family.

He had booked me holidays from work, arranged the girls to stay with my friend, everything. He got a few brownie points for that one!

BearSoFair · 07/07/2020 16:36

A weekend in Edinburgh. Loved it!

mrsbyers · 07/07/2020 16:38

We were not married or engaged but he got me a links of London necklace - I chose it , it irritates a very small skin tag on my neck and haven’t work it for a few years

Twospaniels · 07/07/2020 16:40

Long weekend in New York, taking in a show on Broadway, open top bus tour, Central Pk carriage ride, visit to Ground zero, statue of liberty, etc. It was fab but cold as it was November, but the plus to that was that all the shops had their xmas light up, it was so beautiful.

Cherryup · 07/07/2020 16:42

Diamond eternity ring, I never got an engagement ring, so meant a lot.

Chesneyhawkes1 · 07/07/2020 16:43

I got a new car. Not brand new, but new to me 😊
