Thanks everyone! I've just been googling groups it seems fairly straightforward and the whole admin thing means D's could be blocked if they infiltrate. Think the group pic should be the wanksock meme! Also, depending on your FB settings I don't think you can't actually see a member's profile unless you are friends - I just went through mine and it's all baking or skiing so no real surprises there (1 bed apartment not a chateau!). Do you want to have a go @incognitomum (about to not be very incognito!) and shout if you need any help?

I would probably speak more openly on a FB group. There have been things I've haven't said here about how the virus is impacting me because they would be outing and I would breathe a sigh of relief to share those with people. I can't imagine anyone caring that much if they did spot me on here but at the same time I do like the idea of being anonymous. No judgement of anyone else - it's just lovely to connect with people who feel the same. This group has genuinely saved my sanity over the past few weeks. I would love very hard though if I joined the group on FB and one of you turned out to be a close friend or something. It would be hilarious. I don't think it's very likely though!!

I can see it now. We'll bond even more and in thirty years time we'll still be holidaying together and getting up to mischief (including drinking a lot of gin) as we reminisce about how shit this time was.

Oh and GeneGenie in my experience MN are very selective about how they moderate. If you're expressing a view that isn't the accepted MN view you can be called all sorts of names and no one gives a toss. But if you're toeing the part line you are untouchable. Step away from the thread. You can't argue with stupid.

PickAChew I get the same advert - all the bloody time! I never had a problem with holes until I got given a bee house and since then its gradually got worse. I had a bottle of gin delivered for my birthday in collapsible honeycomb type cardboard and couldn't even touch it! Had to get one of the kids to put it in the recycling bin straight away - the cardboard, not the gin !!!

I have a fb friend I “met” when I sold her a second hand sports item on gumtree. When she posted photos of her child at prom, I thought it was taken outside the school. Nope, was in fact her house! 😲😂 what I’m trying to say is that she’s not an arse.
