How tall is your 14 year old son?

My son is 6ft 2, 15 stone and has size 12 feet. He towers over me, his dad and siblings.

I’m 5ft 6 and his dad 5ft 9, so pretty average really. The only other tall relative is his grandad who is also 6ft 2. Has anyone else had this, and what height did they end up?

@phoenixearthworm mine has a tache (doesn’t really let it grow) but only a bum fluff beard. It looks quite naff but he thinks he looks cool!

netflixismysidehustle I know exactly how you feel. It’s a good job my son isn’t in year 10 and back at school, as nothing would fit him!

It’s funny though, as the majority of y10 boys are sporting half mast trousers at the moment 😂

I dread to think how short the sleeves on my DS's blazer would be, his trousers are certainly very short now and his PE shorts would be nothing short of obscene if he wore them out of the house.

My just 15 year old is 6'1". Size 10 feet and around 12 stone. He's really filling out now and his voice has almost stopped breaking.
I'm 5'10" and DH is 6'.

My almost 14yo has a bit of blonde fluff above his lip.

My 14 year old measured himself last week and was 6ft 1.5 inches! I'm only 5' 2" so he's been taller than me since he was ten. His father is 6' 5.5" though (everyone on his dad's side including the women are at least six foot) so not very surprising. I still remember my neighbour laughing at us when I was carrying 6m old DS in a baby carrier once - his legs were so long even then that his feet kept bashing against my knees.

He had his first shave the other day at his dad's. It took me a few minutes to work out why he looked different when he returned, then I noticed the 'tache had gone

14 yr old DS is another yet to grow, 5ft 4 and 7 stone! Glad he's not the only one.

DS is 5'5".....which is an inch taller than his Dad and 1.5" taller than me

There are a few taller male relatives on my side, but OH alwasy says he is the tallest of his lot, 8 siblings and I reckon two are an inch or two taller than him

DS has no facial hair, or under his arms. I've bought him deodorant but he doesn't use it, or need to yet. He is still losing baby teeth too.

15 year old ds1 is 5'9, size 10-11 feet (can't remember which)

13 year old ds2 is 5'5 and just outgrowing his size 5 shoes.

I'm only 5' 1 so they seem huge to me. But are tiny compared to some most of the boys on here!

It's funny how much they vary at this age though. DS's best friend has parents who are both over 6ft, so you'd think he'd be taller than DS now. But he's about a foot shorter than DS, voice hasn't broken yet and looks a few years younger! His older brothers were the same though, and then suddenly shot up to around 6' 8" in the space of a year or two. I can't imagine what their food bill must have been like.

Mine just turned 15 and is 6' and weighs about 10 stone. He's all sinew.

I'd say he's grown about 4" in the last year? I'm 5'7 so he looks down on me benevolently. His sister is 6'1 so he's hoping to overtake her.

He shaves his 'tache about once a month.

6 ft but very very skinny - all the energy seems to have gone into the growth spurt upwards, with nothing left for growing outwards! Hopefully he will bulk up in time.

To be 15 stone after a teenage growth spurt then I would guess you'd have to be taking in some serious calories

14yrs and 188cm is above the 99th centile for height, and 95kg is significantly above it for weight.

My 14 year old is small too. He is about 5ft 4, maybe 5ft 5 now and weighs 46kg. Not sure what that is in stone - 7 and a bit?? Size 6 feet and just starting to get a bit of facial hair.
I'm very small and DH is about average so all our children are fairly small.

All those saying that the OP's DS is too heavy: bot necessarily. A 14 year old who is 6'2" with the muscle mass and large build of an adult male might well be that weight and not be fat.

A tall but lanky teenager with small shoulders and skinny limbs who hasn't yet beefed up to full size will obviously be much lighter.

DS also has a lot of facial hair (which he refuses to shave at the moment) and very hairy legs. His voice broke some time ago.

Basically he looks like a bloke now, which worries me because he is in no way mentally mature and I worry he may find himself in difficult situations if people don't realise he's a kid.

My son is 12 years old, 6 ft tall and 8 and half stone, so lanky! He's much taller than his older brother and always has been since early primary school. I am 5ft 4 and hubby is only 5ft 8!

When DS was 14 he was about 4'9" and 35kg, but by the time he was 15 he was 5'2" and 40kg.
He didn't shave until he was almost 18.
Does he win smallest teen on the thread? You people are raising giants!

He looks nowhere near 15 stone.

159 cm and 7 stones 14 years old

No mine is smaller at 259cm 7 stones 14 years old
