I hate pizza. Just thinking about it makes me feel ill, and when I tell people this in real life they get so confused! Anyone else hate anything everyone seems to like?

@DawnAnn

Olives. I do persevere and try them again every few years, but still don't like them.
I did this for ten years if not more, all of a sudden I can't get enough of green olives! Hate the black ones though. So strange I always wanted to like them

@lampygirl

I now have lasagne probably once a fortnight. No idea why I suddenly decided it was actually all in my head.
This is interesting. I used to have all kinds of weird food aversions as a child (like I would vomit if forced to eat those things) and some of them have remained but I remember a few where one day I decided to try those foods again and I really enjoyed them and eat them to this day. Just like that.
TomBradysLeftKneecap · 05/07/2020 04:15

I absolutely hate ketchup and peanut butter. They smell gross, they feel gross. They ARE gross!

cantsaynotocake · 05/07/2020 04:25

Yogurts
Alcohol of all types
Peppers
Lamb
Popcorn
Olives
Celery
Dried fruit
Pancakes
Anything spicey

Not much I dislike really but there's a few I can think of 🤣

InTheShadowOfTheMushroomCloud · 05/07/2020 05:09

Pizza
Coffee especially fancy coffees
Jelly
Bacon
Ham - actually any pork. This could be because my dad is Jewish and we didn't eat it at home but that was just the way it was. I would eat it if I liked it..the smell and the look of it makes me heave. My siblings eat pork and if dad sees them he is ok but a bit Hmm
Anything from Greggs (especially see above)
Subway
Mac Donald's
Nando's
KFC
Anything BBQ flavoured
Trifle (see jelly)
Kebab - like the big salmonella on a stick ones. Never had one- don't trust them

Bodgedboxdye · 05/07/2020 05:26

I can agree with regards to prawns and mostly all fish (except tuna and haddock/cod in battered form)

Also, can’t stand tomatoes or any food tomato based.

Also, dominoes pizza. It’s gross.

Bodgedboxdye · 05/07/2020 05:28

Also, fruit cake and meat (pork, lamb and beef) 🤢

Bodgedboxdye · 05/07/2020 05:32

Olives too. Also some cheeses, they have to be super mild.

Ok, I’ll shut up now. 😶

eaglejulesk · 05/07/2020 05:36

Another one for Avocado - horrible tasteless muck!

drigon · 05/07/2020 05:38

Curry, most burgers, bananas (the horror!), trifle, salad, any sauces like ketchup, brown sauce, mustard etc (though I don't mind ketchup as an ingredient), onions unless really well cooked, cumin, rocket, peppers. I am a very fussy eater!

Bodgedboxdye · 05/07/2020 05:38

@eaglejulesk tastes like grass. 😩

BarbaraofSeville · 05/07/2020 07:02

I like most things, but really can't see the appeal of burgers, especially not cheeseburgers. Meat and melty cheese really don't go together in my opinion, nor does meat and bread, especially the crap bread that most burgers are served in.

Which also explains why I don't like meat on pizza, which otherwise I love, as long as it's good pizza, so not the likes of Domino's or Pizza Hut, which I really can't understand the appeal of and it's stupidly expensive.

I glanced at a takeaway menu that came through the door yesterday and was saddened to see that there was more choice of chicken pizzas (7!) than there was pizzas without meat on them, where there was only 4, and two of those were just cheese, the others being mushroom and mixed vegetable, which included ridiculously, pineapple.

Obviously then there were about 20 different options involving pepperoni, salami and various other types of processed pork, which is equally stupid and quite unexpected, given that just about all the takeaways round here are run by Muslims.

So it would seem that most people want chicken or pepperoni on their pizza, neither of which I care for.

I did this for many years and cracked it aged around 37. Dc managed aged around 3 and 6 which impressed me greatly. I don't think anyone is just born liking an olive, you have to learn!

lastqueenofscotland · 05/07/2020 07:30

Eggs Envy

Nachonacho · 05/07/2020 07:31

Mayonnaise 🤮 Not quite a food but a popular condiment, I can't even look at it on someone else's plate!

eaglejulesk · 05/07/2020 08:28

@Bodgedboxdye - I've never tasted grass, but if tastes like avocados then I will add it to my list of foods not to eat Grin

SeonaSeona · 05/07/2020 09:20

Most of you are crazy!! (Joking!!)

I cannot fathom disliking some of the stuff you dislike.

I dislike -

Squid (eww), but sushi/mussels/prawns ok

Aubergine that's not part of a dish. Ie veg lasagne, ratatouille etc OK, aubergine on it's own - bleugh

Liver or kidneys except chicken liver

Tripe

Black Pudding - not the taste as such, just the blood thing.

When I was a Child I hated baked beans and mayo - I'd literally vomit!! Like both now though.

StarlightLady · 05/07/2020 09:40

Salad cream. A poor apology for mayonnaise in my book.

TSSDNCOP · 05/07/2020 09:42

Coriander and lemongrass
Most curry, and to people that insist I must I say "do please FO"
Trifle
Banana
Hard egg yolk

Cherrysoup · 05/07/2020 09:43

Hershey’s chocolate, tastes like dog drops.
Lamb, smells like death when cooking.

AhBallix · 05/07/2020 09:49

Risotto. It's just savoury rice pudding, isn't it? All kinds of wrong.

Raella50 · 05/07/2020 09:53

@BarbaraofSeville I agree!!!! I’m not vegetarian but can’t stand meat in a sandwich/ on a pizza - it’s horrible!!!! Don’t get me wrong, I love a nice steak with a rocket salad but I can’t eat “meat feast” pizza eeeuuughhhhh!! My favourite pizza is mozzarella and black olive. There really is no need to put chicks of chicken/ pepperoni on there. Gross.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 05/07/2020 09:53

Any food that wobbles (the jelly bit in Jaffa cakes is the only wobbly food I can eat)

Sushi (yes I have had good sushi I still don’t like it)

Porridge

cream poured on food

Pulled pork

LadyGAgain · 05/07/2020 10:03
