I would usually go to Mirrie Dancers but they're closed atm.

So after recommendations for a really exciting fancy box of chocolates (not bloody Belgian gianduja pralines, something really gorgeous and different) as a thank you for someone who has gone over and above for me recently...

Thank you Flowers

Another vote for Rococo, and William Curley are also amazing. Coco Chemistry, based in Oxford, are excellent. Unique flavours and lots that are cocktail based. Have fun deciding!

Leonidas. They are Belgian, but really high end.

Came on to say Fortnums are delivering at the moment..... but wow, I’ve found lots of new brands to try (sorry not helpful) Blush

BoudicasBoudoir · 01/07/2020 21:53

I like www.artisanduchocolat.com.

Mouth watering...need chocolate NOW

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 01/07/2020 21:54

Charbonnel & Walker Rose & Violet Creams are the 💣

Divebar · 01/07/2020 21:55

I also came to say Fortnums - they’ve had some big reductions too.

Magpiecomplex · 01/07/2020 21:58

Godiva?

rosegoldwatcher · 01/07/2020 22:00

Well I thought Lindt were lovely (and expensive) - until this thread.
Will work my way through the suggestions!

I would absolutely second Paul A Young for the imaginative flavours and outstanding quality. One of the best in the UK.

In earlier times I would have also recommended some French makers like La Maison du Chocolat, Patrick Roger and Alain Ducasse but currently they are only delivering inside France.

Selfridges online has some nice choices from the likes of Prestat and Rococo.

Enko · 01/07/2020 22:08

Neuhaus though I agree Carbonet et walker is nice too

utterflapdoodle · 01/07/2020 22:10

As already mentioned upthread William Curley and Artisan du Chocolat are also great.

Calmandsteady · 01/07/2020 22:10

Paul a young - salted caramels - you’ll never look back

These are brill. The shop is in shoreditch but they deliver. All of the choices are good but visually, these are ace. The little pipettes are filled with alcohol!

Sixofseven · 01/07/2020 22:12

Paul A Young for the win! Best chocolate ever, I think they deliver as well.

elsiewoo · 01/07/2020 22:22

Summerfortheages · 01/07/2020 22:24

Alain Ducasse or Prestat.

ColaPip · 01/07/2020 22:27

Fab suggestions! Bookmarking for gift ideas, thanks

Inthemuckheap · 01/07/2020 22:31

As a Belgian, Leonidas are the best. But Sayitwithbrownies are extremely luxurious, beautifully wrapped and presented. They really are something else. www.sayitwithbrownies.co.uk and they're made with Belgian chocolate (Callebaut for the connaisseurs). £25 a box.
