I have:
A white pair that is newish
A dirty white pair I need to throw away
A black pair for winter/rainy days
A running pair
A second running pair
A pair for the gym

Buy the different colour! But be warned - you will end up loving one of the colours and going off the other ones slightly

megletthesecond · 28/06/2020 22:50

Three pairs of Nike Internationalists for day. Neutral, ballet pink and fuschia/orange.

Two pairs of Saucony for running (road and trail).
One pair of Nike cross trainers for the gym.

SummerSazz · 28/06/2020 22:50

4 pairs

One running (new balance)
One walking (sketchers de-lites)
One indoor (light sketchers)
One at work (sketchers)

I wear the same pair for walking on grass and gardening.
2x deck shoes for around town.

mynameiscalypso · 28/06/2020 22:53

Maybe about 15? I'm on maternity leave so only really wear trainers. I have a couple of pairs for exercising, the rest of for wearing with jeans - several pairs of converse, a couple of pairs of vans, various other random pairs. Different styles of trainers work with different outfits.

HornedBeefCash · 28/06/2020 22:57

Get them! There's been several times in my life when I've wished in hindsight that I'd bought several pairs of the same style as they were so comfortable

BluebellCockleshell123 · 28/06/2020 22:58

Loads:
2 white (one old, one new)
2 black Nike (one old one new)
1 converse (red)
Yellow Nikes
Turquoise Nikes
Pink Nikes
Sparkly glitter ones
Gym trainers
Dog walking trainers

Gertie75 · 28/06/2020 23:01

Too many, I wear either them or flip flops all the time, the only time I wear heels is on a rare night out.
I'm sure they've ruined my feet though, even the tiniest heel now makes my toe joints ache, I could barely wear my winter boots at all this year.
My Mum recently visited the podiatrist to have a corn treated and she told her that Skechers are one of the worst thing to wear as they give no support.
They're so bloody comfy though.

jmh740 · 28/06/2020 23:02

I have an addidas pair I got years ago to use at the gym, a white leather pair that are too narrow really but I dont want to get rid of them. A green pair of sketchers a black pair of pumas I got for xmas. I got a white pair of sketchers and a green pair of addidas during lock down and they are both still in the box

BatonRouge · 28/06/2020 23:05

35 pairs approx? Mainly own air max 1s, 95s, 97s and flyknit racers. I must admit it takes me ages to decide what pair to wear in the morning!

FranklyDearIDontRiverdance · 28/06/2020 23:06

Loads!

I have practical ones for sport, white ones for summer, leopard print ones, limited edition ones and so on. I’m like a trainee magpie.

I do not own any Sketchers though. I know they are comfortable from my DM but I fear it’ll be a slippery slope to elasticised waists and Joules dresses.

nogreenfinger · 28/06/2020 23:09

Around 25 maybe

Nike blazers, cortez, 95s, roshe, internationalist, etc

Adidas continental, stan smiths, superstar

New Balance, Vejas, Supergas, Converse & Golden Goose

Rebelwithallthecause · 28/06/2020 23:10

3 pairs and I thought that was excessive

1x new balance
1x converse
1x scamp and dude superga

BogRollBOGOF · 28/06/2020 23:10

I'm a runner...Grin

Current runners
Current trail runners
Newly retired trainers for general walking
Old retired trainers also for general walking
Really old retired trainers which are quite a sedate colour.
They're too trashed beyond that!

I mainly live in trainers.

Rebelwithallthecause · 28/06/2020 23:11

And some Ash hi good but they have a heel so surly for count as trainers

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 28/06/2020 23:15

I have:

  • an old pair of black and white Converse
  • an old pair of gold Converse high-tops
  • newish mint green suede Converse
  • new white and gold Schuh own make
  • new grey and white suede Adidas which I've not worn yet and am saving for autumn.
GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 28/06/2020 23:16

Oh, and a pair of Sketchers running shoes for working out

TheOrigBrave · 28/06/2020 23:18

@BogRollBOGOF same!

Newest for road running
Next pair down for off road and walking
Next pair down for off road wet conditions
About 5 pairs in the garden box which need to go back to the running shop old shoe collection box

And a pair of Sains TU "converse"

littlealexhorne · 28/06/2020 23:18

I've got a fairly new pair that I basically live in, and then maybe 5ish old pairs that I don't really wear anymore - I could and should definitely get rid of at least a couple of those.

Mominatrix · 28/06/2020 23:19
  • 2 pairs of road running trainers
  • 1 pair of trail running trainers
  • 1 pair gore-tex trainers
  • 1 pair fashion trainers
  • 1 pair of big standard Stan smiths
daisymay133 · 28/06/2020 23:20

I have about 6

All totally different

Always looking for more! The more you have the less you wear so they last a lot longer

Livpool · 28/06/2020 23:25

2

A pair of trainers I wear for country walks that are a bit wrecked

A bright pink pair that I love...mostly because they are cerise

Dougalthesyrianhamster · 28/06/2020 23:26

Absolutely none! Because I'm a woman, I'm not into fitness nor am I chav!

In my personal opinion, it's only certain types of women wear trainers besides those into fitness

nogreenfinger · 28/06/2020 23:27

wtf @Dougalthesyrianhamster what type of women would that be?

kingdomcapers · 28/06/2020 23:27

Right, I need to think about this
1 pair "indoor" trainers for the gym (these have to stay in car or I forget them)
Another pair for if I work out at home ie all the time just now
1 pair New Balance 574's(so comfy but sturdy) for walking the dog
Old 574's relegated to gardening
1x Stan Smiths
1x Superstars
1 x Gazelles
1 x converse
So 8 pairs.
I also just passed 2 pairs that I didn't wear much onto DD2 because she decided having a growth spurt and growing out of her shoes 2 weeks into lockdown was a good idea, but at least she went up to my size. When we do buy her new ones I'll be making sure I like them so she can return the favour if she outgrows them.
