Oh, and the ones that stay in the car in case I get an opportunity for a walk at lunchtime and the old ones I've kept for gardening.

My SIL's MIL bought her first ever pair of trainers recently when the doctor insisted they were the best thing for a foot complaint. Previously she wouldn't lower her standards to such a degree. She is one of the most unpleasant women I have never met. Everything is about keeping up appearances and judging those who don't. Lesson? Never trust a woman who doesn't love her trainers Grin

I thought I had loads, but not compared to some of the sneaker pimps on here!

Puma states x 2 both pale pink
Nike Blazers light grey and red
Nike AF1 hi-tops pale blue
Nike AF1 Sage pale blue
Converse x 2
House of Holland leopard and zebra pony skin
Phillipe Model pr in pale green suede

I recently boxed up all my heeled shoes for the charity shop to make more room for trainers Blush

I bought my first pair in 25 years just after lockdown.
I am thinking of buying another pair .

It is a pair of Gabor "Rolling" and might suit @Dougalthesyrianhamster . They are very neat and understated especially in the greige colour.

wanderings · 29/06/2020 08:10

I have loads of trainers, probably more than twenty pairs. Some of them I've had for more than ten years, as I have so many pairs. Sometimes I wish I had more pairs of feet, like a centipede. As a teenager, I wasn't allowed big names (Reebok, Nike, Adidas) until I had the money to buy them myself, so I went all out then, and the habit has stuck. I have no shame in wearing trainers with everything, and I often wear them without socks too, because I find them comfier that way.

Valkadin · 29/06/2020 09:08

A pair for walks and exercise
A rather knackered pair for the garden

BatonRouge · 29/06/2020 09:22
@BatonRouge You sound like me. What do you think of 98s? I find them so comfy but more tighter than 97s
The cushioning is great with the 98s, better than 97s and 95s I think. Some great colourways on the 98s if you're looking for a bold look!

Anyone got Yeezys? Or have i gone too far? 😂 got the all black ones, honestly they are so comfy and amazing!

googlyf · 29/06/2020 09:29

No but DB has. I (whisper) think they are overpriced & don't look that different from other styles out there. But I have golden goose so clearly I'm a mug!

googlyf · 29/06/2020 09:29

It's an orthopaedic need though!

RusholmeRuffian · 29/06/2020 09:38

@Dougalthesyrianhamster

Absolutely none! Because I'm a woman, I'm not into fitness nor am I chav!

In my personal opinion, it's only certain types of women wear trainers besides those into fitness

I guess I must be a certain type of woman because I collect trainers. I have over 150 pairs.
lastqueenofscotland · 29/06/2020 09:38

I have
5 pairs of running shoes - a couple of cushioned pairs, a pair of racing flats, a pair of spikes and a pair of trail shoes. I do a lot of running to a fairly decent club level

2 pairs of vans, one plain black one chequerboard

2 pairs of converse, one high one low

6 pairs of Adidas - gazelles/Hamburgs

Blush
Iwalkinmyclothing · 29/06/2020 10:22

One. For running. They are quite ugly and my elder dc tell me they are very very uncool indeed. I've never really taken to trainers.

But anyway, op, get them if you like them and can afford them, what would be wrong with that?

thepointoforder · 29/06/2020 14:38

About 20. Only one pair is for sports though!
I love trainers.

user1471548941 · 29/06/2020 15:21

2 x “smart” pairs to go with casual outfits. A white leather Gazelle style and pink glittery Vans...
1 x bog standard Nikes for going out walking and gym
1 x specially fitted running shoes, usually have 2 pairs but need to save up for another pair.

Also have Converse but would count these as a “casual” shoe rather than a trainer?!

IHaveBrilloHair · 29/06/2020 15:23

18, none for sport as I hate it.

Anotherdayanothernight · 29/06/2020 15:27

Quite a few when I think about it:

Black converse
Burgundy converse
2 pairs of running trainers Nike and Adidas
ASICS
Isabel Marant
2 pairs white Stan Smith
Golden Goose
Geox

amusedbush · 29/06/2020 15:28

I have a ratty pair of Adidas Stan Smiths for walking the dog.

A brand new pair of Stan Smiths that are waiting for lockdown to end Grin

One pair of Vans Old Skools.

A pair of running shoes.

amusedbush · 29/06/2020 15:29

Oh, and a gorgeous pair of Nikes for the gym that I got in the US. They are lurid turquoise and neon yellow - you can always see me coming Grin

itsme · 29/06/2020 15:30

I only have 2 pairs, but I have just started work at a Skechers store. So I'm sure that the collection will grow very fast.

ZoeyCha · 29/06/2020 15:59

Three pairs:
A gym pair and two casual/shoe going out with jeans on pairs.

dayslikethese1 · 29/06/2020 16:46

If we're talking about trainers I use for actual exercise then 2 (1 pair gym trainers, 1 pair hiking trainers) apart from that I also have a pair of Adidas that I wear for fashion and 4 pairs of "Converse" I wear for everyday (I wear them all the time, they are different colours)

StarlightLady · 29/06/2020 16:48

One! Does that make me odd?

HarrietM87 · 29/06/2020 16:53

Jealous of some of the collections on here!

I’ve got:

 • Black Adidas gazelles that I wear like 80% of the time. On to my third pair in about 2 years as literally wear them out
 • Leather white converse for summer
 • Knit/mesh white Stan smiths that are so comfy but such a pain to keep clean, never buying again
 • Nike’s for running. Can’t remember the exact model.

I’d like some more for everyday wear. Have been thinking Veja but heard they aren’t very comfy.

torthecatlady · 29/06/2020 16:57

I have one pair of gym / walking running Nikes.

But 4 pairs of Vans for casual wear (2 slip on, 2 with laces)
