Oasis 26 years ago!!!!

Bless the bbc are really making an effort and Jo Wiley looks as fab as ever and Mark Radcliffe looks bloody fantastic.

It is the best festival ever looking at this I can’t beleive how massive it’s got in the last few years. I can’t wait to get back!

Looks like we had the same taste. I really miss going to festivals but I just couldn’t do it these days. I don’t do camping and my bladder’s not as good as it used to be 😂.

Mega city four weren't even there! Blush am getting so old. I don't remember seeing the Poppies, but I must have.Confused

I think the Megas were there the following year. I’m surprised I can remember any of it tbh!

Mowie - Wild is the wind Sad

Jellykat · 28/06/2020 21:38

Fuck, i meant BOWIE !!!!!

longtompot · 28/06/2020 21:55

Loving Bowie tonight. I have tons on record to watch during the week, but have seen Chemical Brothers, Beyoncé was stunning Friday night! I want to rewatch The Cure, Arcade Fire, Pet Shop Boys, Pulp, Florence, Nick Cave, and probably a few more.
I've never been To Glastonbury and would love to go, but dh isn't so keen, so will resort to watching on the beeb every year. At least it's always dry and I know where my bed and loo is Wink

PurplePansy05 · 28/06/2020 22:09

Arcade Fire was great.

I've also watched Coldplay, Adele, Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys and now Bowie tonight. All really good.

Disappointed with Years & Years, didn't bother with watching the whole set. I thought Olly was a good singer live, but he can't catch his breath.

Will try to squeeze in a few more tomorrow before it all disappears from the iPlayer. So happy the BBC put it on, made my weekend!

Ah bless. I look back fondly at my bruises and twisted ankles. The bruises I sustained going on my mates shoulders at a Mission gig - the daft lanky git went down like a caber-were monumental. Grin
I saw Mega City Four so many times RIP WizSad

So sad about Wiz. Did you go to the 4 for Wiz gig with Senseless Things, Carter, Neds etc in 2007(at the Garage in Islington I think)? So great to see all of those bands again but such a shame it was a result of something so tragic. Wiz truly had the voice of an angel.
homemadecommunistrussia · 30/06/2020 22:01

I wish I had. I missed the senseless things again last year too Sad life gets in the way.
It wouldn't be the same would it though? I saw MC4 in 1994 and Senseless Things at the boardwalk-right towards the end, that's kind of how I want to remember them- when Keds was beautiful.

I know what you mean. My best friend died two years after Wiz. We used to go to all of those gigs together so I couldn’t see any of them without her, it wouldn’t seem right. We used to follow Senseless things all over the country - we even saw them in Lille once. Really happy memories.
homemadecommunistrussia · 30/06/2020 22:24
