Oasis 26 years ago!!!!

Bless the bbc are really making an effort and Jo Wiley looks as fab as ever and Mark Radcliffe looks bloody fantastic.

It is the best festival ever looking at this I can’t beleive how massive it’s got in the last few years. I can’t wait to get back!

I only ever went once - 1992. Mostly went to see Carter USM, The Levellers and Senseless Things. I’d love to see footage from back then but I don’t think they filmed it that far back. Shame. I was more of a Reading festival girl.

Yes, currently watching Adele, but looking
Forward to seeing Coldplay, they are My guilty pleasure Grin

I love living to so close to the reading festival site, will miss hearing it this year.

I watched Oasis from 1994 and loved it!!!

Also Florence from 2015, I'm a big fan. I'm so glad it's available to watch!

DW reckoned he hadn't changed much since the 2000 performance, then went "Whoa" when she saw him tonight! Hmm

Itsacakebaby · 28/06/2020 00:01

Definitely hotter now!!
Great performers. Really enjoying it.

EachandEveryone · 28/06/2020 00:11

Yes I was there. I didnt mean to be but somebody shoved bracelets into our hands and as they flashed we got drawn to the Pyramid. We laughed it was like somekind of religious cult.

Does anyone know if the performances are available on the iPlayer only until tomorrow?

EachandEveryone · 28/06/2020 10:49

That's the impression I got have you got sky plus so you can record them now?

OP posts:
PurplePansy05 · 28/06/2020 10:51

No, unfortunately not! Such a shame, if they were available for another week, I'd watch a lot more 😩

SimonJT · 28/06/2020 10:55

Its the first time I have missed it in a few years, we always have performer passed as well so we get to watch side of stage if we want and our loos are clean 😂

EachandEveryone · 28/06/2020 16:05

Are we watching Bowie tonight?

Watching Metallica right now, have watched Idles and REM this afternoon. Watched a few other sets yesterday. Love a bit of live music - usually more a Reading person but Glasto has a really good mix.

Yourownpersonaljesus · 28/06/2020 18:50

Thanks to this thread I’ve been reminiscing watching clips of Glastonbury and Reading festivals on YouTube. Have spent a good couple of hours watching my old faves. Just watched Nirvana at Reading in ‘91 - so good but made me feel quite sad. It was the first time I saw Nirvana live and was before they’d released Nevermind so they were quite low down on the bill. Such good memories of my festival days when life was so carefree.

Yourownpersonaljesus · 28/06/2020 19:52

Just watching Glastonbury on bbc2 now. How beautiful was Ray Davis’ performance of days? Made me cry.

homemadecommunistrussia · 28/06/2020 20:03

I was also there for Nirvana in 91, it was a different world.

Yourownpersonaljesus · 28/06/2020 20:15

Wasn’t it just. I miss those days. What other bands did you watch there homemadecommunistrussia.
