Started a new one.

Need to adhere to guidelines this time though.

Good effort guys. Am v proud. Apart from you @iaintentdead. Can't believe you committed such a cardinal sin, don't you realise that for many, many parts of MN it's draws not drawers. Tsk.

AnxiousElephant77 · 25/06/2020 22:06

Liverpool are about to win the league!

❤️

SeagoingSexpot · 25/06/2020 22:10

What naughty naughty people we are.

Started reading 😲😲😲- WTF - then realised it should 'of' been 'chester draws'. 😋😊😉

I've lived a lot more years than I've been on MN in my defense

Nihiloxica · 25/06/2020 22:24

MN made me think all English people said draws instead of drawers.

Ibake · 25/06/2020 22:24

@iaintentdead rookie error Grin I've just engaged with eeyore on t'other side, what an idiot I am, only person that is going to enrage is me but clearly I'm too pissed and belligerent to care at this point.

I’ve hidden the thread. Realised engaging was like smashing myself around the head with a break repeatedly.

Drivingdownthe101 · 25/06/2020 22:30

Brick. Not break. It’s too fucking got to type.

Nihiloxica · 25/06/2020 22:32

It's very hot here too.

I love it.

Drivingdownthe101 · 25/06/2020 22:33

HOT.
I give up. I’m going to bed. To lie sweating in my pants on top of my duvet.

Ibake · 25/06/2020 22:34

Smart move @Drivingdownthe101 I should do the same, but the aforementioned pissedness and belligerence might affect that sensible approach. Maybe I should just pass out in my (line dried!) clean sheets and let tomorrow be another day.

Drivingdownthe101 · 25/06/2020 22:35

Yes I have also had too much wine, hence my engagement with it in the first place Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 25/06/2020 22:37

Place marking. Read thread before last, then started on last, then it disappeared in a puff of smoke...

NothingIsWrong · 25/06/2020 22:38

I'm too hot. It's horrible. It must be still 25deg here right now. I sent smallest to bed under a damp towel she was so sweaty

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 25/06/2020 22:39

Placemarking! Took me ages to find you.

Ibake · 25/06/2020 22:41

I'm still lying outside on my sun lounger. Bats are swooping around all over the place. I've run out of aperol (a good thing) and it's a very nice level of cool. Am tempted to grab duvet and stay here

littlbrowndog · 25/06/2020 22:42

Omg thank heck I found you lot 😂😂

I contemplated sleeping on the trampoline. Now inside googling Dyson fans.

21.3 outside that is around 12c cooler than this afternoon. 25c indoors, dog is suffering poor old man.

I love watching bats swoop in the evening such elegant fliers. No rain yet and thunder/lightening has ceased sadly it was such pretty sheet lightning.

HesterShaw1 · 25/06/2020 22:51

This Bournemouth beaches thing. IS IT ME or should Bournemouth have been expecting something like this when they have x number of people living near the beach, and it's the hottest day of the year and lockdown is easing yet literally nothing is open other than the beach and people have been told they're allowed to go to the beach?

And why Bournemouth particularly this time?

There's something weird going on.

Dowser · 25/06/2020 22:54

I live in another country
I think
22 in the house and I’m wearing a thick fleece and a cardi

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 25/06/2020 22:56

If I didn’t have to work tomorrow I’d stay up for a while- I love warm nights but not when I have to be up by 7. No bats here. Our cat has been extravagantly draped over the tiled floor for most of the day but has now cheered up and gone out marauding. We’re not predicted any thunder till tomorrow night now.

DD had two friends round all afternoon and they stayed to tea, she had a lovely time. The plan is to make it a regular fixture.

TheGreatWave · 25/06/2020 22:56

Last year we went on holiday to South Devon and the place we stopped in had lots of 'mod-con' Cost me a fortune when I got back as I re-created the look with all the Joseph Joseph and Google Hub stuff. They had a dyson fan in every room, I so wanted one, but they cost so much.

I love watching bats swoop in the evening such elegant fliers.

In my old house we used to get bats in the garden, I loved seeing them. We don't really get them in the new one (maybe the odd one, but not everynight like before)

We have hedgehogs now though, so I guess it is a fair enough trade off.

SummerHouse · 25/06/2020 22:57

@Ibake we have bats! Was worried about covid them as I haven't seen them but just been to check and they are there! Love our bats and they are unexpected as we are pretty urban.

Ibake · 25/06/2020 22:58

My DS was at Formby Beach today. Similar levels of mental. He went with his gf. Probably not the smartest move but it's his first gf, they've got the day off and, as you say @hestershaw, there is absolutely nothing else for all our youngsters to do right now. Part of me thinks 'Tsk' - mostly because of litter - but most of me thinks who can blame them?
