And should they both get in the sea?

Two intolerant cheeks of the same arse.

BillywigSting · 24/06/2020 13:57

Gammon

Mycatismadeofstringcheese · 24/06/2020 13:58

Do you mean the people or the term?

LinemanForTheCounty · 24/06/2020 14:00

Good question!

The people.

gammon by a million miles

BringMeTea · 24/06/2020 14:03

It's a tough one for sure.

NiceTwin · 24/06/2020 14:04

What the hell is gammon?

Don't tell me to Google it as that brings up a lovely joint of meat.

RightIsRight · 24/06/2020 14:05

Gammon

mylittlesandwich · 24/06/2020 14:07

@NiceTwin apparently it means this

Gammon is a pejorative popularised in British political culture since around 2012. In 2018, it became particularly known as a term* to describe middle-aged white men, either on the political right or who supported Brexit.

Bourbonbiccy · 24/06/2020 14:07

@RightIsRight I'm under the impression Gammon is a right wing, brexit voting white male.

Jumblebumblemess · 24/06/2020 14:08

@NiceTwin

Quoted from urban dictionary

" A term used to describe a particular type of Brexit-supporting,europhobicvoter whose meat-faced complexion suggests they are perilously close to a stroke."

passthemustard · 24/06/2020 14:08

I think gammon surely has to be worse.
But neither are great, right?

It's another way to insult someone with different views to yourself as is woke.

I think the people who use these ridiculous terms are worse than the individuals they describe , I just can't take them seriously.

peekaboob · 24/06/2020 14:10

Gammon definitely.

Grasspigeons · 24/06/2020 14:12

I am leaning towards Woke. I feel like there are laws to protect me from the excess of gammon (although i cant forgive brexit) but i find woke and the absolutism and the wrong-think crimes quite scary.
But i must clarify i dont think gammon is the same as far -right is it? If it is - then its them.

MissDollyMix · 24/06/2020 14:14

Not keen on either but I think the thought policing of the woke is marginally scarier.

borntohula · 24/06/2020 14:16

Gammon.

NiceTwin · 24/06/2020 14:18

I hate the term woke, I'm thinking gammon is going in the same bracket.

Thank you all for the explanation.

happinessischocolate · 24/06/2020 14:18

Gammon

Although it's quite funny when they rage about "snowflakes" getting upset about everything 😂

Gammon is far right, but they may not appreciate or understand that they are far right.

I think most woke appreciate they are far left.

ShouldWeChangeTheBulb · 24/06/2020 14:20

Gammon
At least the woke are trying to be nice

glisteninginkcap · 24/06/2020 14:21

Gammon

KatnissMellark · 24/06/2020 14:23

Woke

nicky7654 · 24/06/2020 14:26

@Bourbonbiccy You are so right!!! MN loves to insult those who don't follow their beliefs.
