Even in the frosty winter I'm hot, always hot. In the summer I'm just a little cooler than a blast furnace. I go out with my DH on a summers day and he always turns to me while my face is scarlet and hair dripping with sweat and says " Isn't it a lovely day! "

Respite here too, this is much preferable to the 30+ temperature last week.

@sanityisamyth There, there, I’m here with you! I feel so deflated in this cold. I wore fuzzy socks on Monday night. 😿🥶

It's still quite warm here, 20ish, definitely not feeling cold.

I think we’ve had our summer! Shame as it would be better if people could actually sit outside when the pubs open today rather than all inside sheltering from the rain and wind. Much safer.

Doesn’t look good for next week either so that’s a good few weeks of rain and wind. In July.

I get hot even in the winter so summer isn't good for me, I swear from the face first so it's always noticeable and carry hand held fan everywhere

I'd far rather sit outside a pub with a jumper on than sit out on a hot sunny day trying to squeeze under the shade of a tiny umbrella as it moves or worse not finding any shade at all.

Delatron · 04/07/2020 13:55

Yep but I guess you’re in the minority there. Apart from on Mumsnet. Most people wouldn’t enjoy sitting on wet chairs in the rain with a gale blowing. Plus you can do that in autumn and winter and most of spring if that’s what you prefer.

Yes it can get too hot and that causes problems but a nice 23/24 degrees with some shade would be pretty lovely.

Maybe not in the rain but it isn't raining most of the time. Neither is it blowing a gale (not here anyway, SE England). Just nice and cool, a bit overcast.

Delatron · 04/07/2020 14:31

Rainy and windy here now (SE) afternoon plans look a bit ruined as we don’t all fancy sitting in the rain.

We do get this kind of weather for many, many months. A few weekends of warm, dry weather through summer would offer a bit of respite from this.

I don't mind warm and dry but about 23°C max for me. There were plenty of people sitting outside pubs here this afternoon, it was warm despite being overcast.
