For me it's people (especially men - yes, I'm being sexist) who shake hands like a limp lettuce. Takes all myself control not to wipe my hand down my side ....

What's yours?

@Miljea oh yes. Swimming in v deep water too! I once had an amazing experience swimming with a pod of dolphins in open water at sea. But I was very aware of the yawning void of dark water beneath my flailing limbs!

Allinadaystwerk · 14/06/2020 23:10

Rats
Just awful

thismeansnothing · 14/06/2020 23:11

@biggiebiggiebiggie

Omg it's not just me then. Been terrified and creeped out since my dad got the video when I was 3. The video shop had a huge window display with figures and posters and it freaked me out every time we drove past. One Xmas my mum had to hide the TV mag because there was an picture that was the entire page. And recently with the Sky adverts. No. Just typing this has me in a cold sweat. I'm 35 and still shudder.

Miljea · 14/06/2020 23:14

What, thismeansnothing? I scrolled back and couldn't find the previous reference! 😊

Xigris · 14/06/2020 23:20

This building - specifically all the little windows in the roof. Terrifying.

What gives you the heebiejeebies?
Anotherdayanothernight · 14/06/2020 23:22

Spiders
Wearing polyester on a hot day

Iloveliberty · 14/06/2020 23:27

Hair any where around food. I had to leave a restaurant once to throw up, absolutely beyond disgusting 😩.
Eating noises, chewing, slurping, saliva 🤮

CharlottaCarlotta · 14/06/2020 23:31

Caricatures & polystyrene.

UnagiSalmonSkinRoll · 14/06/2020 23:31

For me it's scraping your finhers/nails on paper, and the feel of some types of paper, especially paper-back books which does put me off reading alot which made me sad. I purchased an Amazon fire and now I read books on that.

UnagiSalmonSkinRoll · 14/06/2020 23:38

Oh and heights, I can't even look at someone on TV at a height as it makes my stomach flip 🥴

worcestersauce29 · 14/06/2020 23:39

wind turbines, they freak me out big time

Whatnextnotsure · 14/06/2020 23:41

Another one here for cutlery scraping on a plate.
Also when some women speak with a quiet, whispery, weak voice. I don't know why but Gail Platt on Corrie has always given me the creeps too.

Mistymonday · 14/06/2020 23:45

The sound ice makes when you move stuff around in the freezer.

Snakes, especially how they move.

Musicals! I just can’t.

Meat, meat products, fish - Never eaten it, seems gross and dirty to me on a paranoid ocd level. Feels dirty ick like a human cadaver would to most. Try to hide it socially though, it’s more it coming into contact with my food, my own kitchen etc.

Other people’s wounds. Blood. I fainted after giving blood from that.

Ticks, ugh.

Mistymonday · 14/06/2020 23:46

Oh, Jimmy Savilld.

CarrieMoonbeams · 15/06/2020 00:00

Daddy-long-legs - they can reduce me to tears. They're always attracted to me too, like some relentless drunk on a night bus.

Raw sausages - I'm veggie, DH isn't, and although I have no problem cooking meat occasionally, I just can not pick up raw sausages. They're heavier than they should be. Or something. No problem picking up cooked ones though.

Dry rot - even a picture of that makes me go all clammy.

Pieceofpurplesky · 15/06/2020 00:32

Tongue. As in the meat people eat.

Clowns.

Beetroot

sassafras123 · 15/06/2020 01:03

Spiders
Slugs
People who slurp when eating
Steps or stairs without handrails
Fish bones
Suet
Milk

whatisthislifesofullofcare · 15/06/2020 01:52

Leftover food thats been in the fridge, especially if the sauce has started to separate and is watery. eeeek. even though its not me eating it, my stomach heaves.

The sound of socks touching DH dry skin on his feet.

Anyone walking around in socks or eeeeek tights, the sound...on the carpet or tiles or even worse if they sit on a bar stool and their foot touches the metal foot rest. Cannot stand it.

IntoTheUnknown27 · 15/06/2020 02:04

@Sunstar16 Me too!!

ALongHardWinter · 15/06/2020 02:20

Accidentally getting cat food on my fingers when I'm dishing it up for my cat. Makes my skin crawl!

DKanin · 15/06/2020 03:54

People I don't really know touching my arm

Furry spiders

Clowns

Touching meat like ribs/wings

The damp feeling of a dog has licked my hand

TazSyd · 15/06/2020 04:25

Driving over bridges. Why do they have such small barriers?

MrsClatterbuck · 15/06/2020 04:37

Wet tea leaves. The thought of touching them gives me the Heebie jeebies. Thank goodness for tea bags. Also nails scrapping down a blackboard or someone running their fingers along the top of a comb.

Toilenstripes · 15/06/2020 04:55

Wet carpet
Milk
Gaping mouths 🤢
Heights, especially seeing videos of people free climbing. I go weak in the knees.

tinseltitsandlittlegits · 15/06/2020 04:59

Eyeballs 😩
There ok in general but I can't stand to see anybody rubbing there eyes or applying mascara 🤢.
And the thought of eyedrops makes me feel physically sick .
