I was wondering today about a few old posters that either left or I haven’t seen in ages
Riven , eatshitderek (i think that’s what the username was) and another one I can’t remember the full name ghost something who was in temp accommodation I think ?
Does anyone else ever wonder about posters they dont see anymore

I didn’t realise we weren’t meant to post about old posters so if I’ve broken any rules I’m sorry I had no idea !

It def is like hearing names of old school friends isn’t it, it doesn’t seem that long ago but it was so different to now.

I recall a houseboat as well who was that ? There are so many personalities I remember but can’t remember all the names

It was the strangest thing. It was in the days when Mn was much quieter and it was quite late. It was deleted and never mentioned again.

@CheerfulYank, sorry, you won't know this name - or the last if your memory is like mine - I used to be LRDtheFeministDragon and we used to chat. Like Glenda I am thinking how much has changed - I can remember seeing conversations on this forum about whether there would ever be a black president (and I don't think we ever imagined what could go so badly wrong after that). And don't get me started on the idiot we have in the UK. It all felt so much more hopeful a decade ago.

Sassysusan had an incredibly authentic blog as well I think?

Was the poster on another forum who was a tube driver but also supposedly lost a baby also exposed as a troll on here? The original forum she was on folded-can’t remember the name of it but remember the layout!

WWC and SS were the same person. I don't think Bonsoir Anna was them.

Just to clarify, for the aforementioned gullible, it is possible to exist as a real person and still troll a website with bollocks. I’m sure ESD is a real human and has an insta/facebook/a life etc. I remember the garlic bread photos of her sobbing child. I’m sure he exists too.

I’m also sure she was less than truthful about being hacked on here and having to involve the police, suddenly being booted from her house with no warning, etc etc etc. None of it ever made sense when you looked beyond the surface.

And I’m sure people did help her with things like her CV etc. She got a lot of money and gifts out of people too, didn’t she? Just a scammer with a character rather than the faceless begging threads we see nowadays.

You have quite the agenda going on there. One has to ask why?

Princess those threads were MAD, weren't they?! I mean, it was in the name, but still... 🤣 I remember reanimated zombie period drama men and not much else. Hully was there, and Pagwatch... I'm in touch with Pag on Facebook often. She's as lovely as ever, it's impossible to hate her for her gorgeous house and beauty because she's just. So. Lovely. And Edgar was there too, wasn't she? I will never, ever forget her post after Leo died, how it just started "Oh."

In more smiley recollections, the funniest thread I can remember was the poster who had run downstairs topless, shouting at her husband, for a joke...only to find him standing there with a plumber or electrician or something. I don't know if I've ever laughed so hard at anything online before or since. 🤣🤣🤣 I think it got removed, and maybe it was all made up anyway, but God did I laugh.

OP- don't worry at all about a thread about old posters- they happen all the time, and as you can see, people from years ago chat about the past, trolls we have known and "loved" get discussed and some people get pissy.

I believe SS's dd did die - complications of Chicken Pox. I was FB friends with her. I don't know if she was WWC but I do know she trolled MN regularly after she was banned. She was banned for arguably suggesting another poster should know what it was like to lose a child. She was angry at being banned and trolling was revenge. I cut contact with her after she pretty much used the details of my dd's death in a troll thread.
I am very reluctant to support bereaved parents because of her and it took away my place to talk about dd.

SarahAndQuack, I've chatted with 'LRD' (when I was using a different name) on a history thread, so I'm glad to find you're still around.

I have a PM from Beesimo asking me to not destroy her family's livelihood. This was after she'd been caught out writing reviews for her family's restaurant or whatever business it was they were in. Not quite the traveller in the 'van with Lass 1 and grandma on the porch she claimed to be.
