I need help. It's urgent. Does anyone have any in depth knowledge of booking flights, particularly during covid? Which airlines are flying where and when etc? I promise this is in no way related to holiday or frivolous weddings abroad, it's important. Please PM if you can help

No custody issues, unmarried mothers have sole custody. The issue is trying to get a visa for a 3 hour stop at a trump airport for a British child who was born abroad and currently only has that country's passport.

The embassy sounds the best bet.

Theloftmonster · 13/06/2020 00:22

The consulate suggested a couple of lawyers and said to call the police if scared.
The child doesn't currently hold a uk passport. The child is 100% eligible for a uk passport.

Any stopover in the us would mean the child needs a visa, even 2 hours between flights.

All flights at the moment stop, there are no direct flights. I need to find the first one available but how?

Look at flightradar24 to see all arrivals and departures

Mohiqo · 13/06/2020 00:23

So you want to go direct from An to UnK without stopping in U?

Theloftmonster · 13/06/2020 00:24

No embassy only the consulate. Consulate isn't even in the same country. The child is not currently holding a uk passport

Can passport holders of An not get visas for U? How long would it take to get a visa for UnK?

listsandbudgets · 13/06/2020 00:25

they need to contact the embassy urgently. There's likely to be some kind of system in place for them to get a British passport for the child if that's what they're entitled to.

If they are in danger, they should also let the embassy know

Theloftmonster · 13/06/2020 00:25

Mohiqo yes. Exactly. The first one I can.

Can she fly to somewhere nearby and then stay there whilst arranging a UK passport?

listsandbudgets · 13/06/2020 00:26

sorry typing too slow

ScotinSpain · 13/06/2020 00:26

I know a few people on the island in the picture. A friend is getting on a flight to London via Miami with American Airlines on Tuesday. The most common option seems to be fly/boat to Guadeloupe then Air France to Paris. Hope this helps. All the very best.

Mohiqo · 13/06/2020 00:27

Could you go to the famous pizza country It? There are direct flights from An to there.

Mohiqo · 13/06/2020 00:29

Flight number BxVx1x5x4x0x will go from An to famous pizza country.

ScotinSpain · 13/06/2020 00:29

Sorry, just saw you can't go via US. Virgin and British Airways were the only airlines that flew direct between UK and ANU pre-covid, as far as I know. Could you call them or email their customer services to see when they're likely to fly again?

fodderbeet · 13/06/2020 00:30

Have you tried via Spain - not direct but not US - someone I know flew back from there last week via Spain, possibly Barcelona.

Mohiqo · 13/06/2020 00:31

Oh no it's not direct, it's via another island DR. Balls.

Ipadipod · 13/06/2020 00:31

An airline that is the colour of the sky , pan....ama flies from there to a place that makes pizza

FusionChefGeoff · 13/06/2020 00:31

Small plane to one of the French islands then direct to Paris?

Ipadipod · 13/06/2020 00:33

If it’s dangerous for them could they just go to a police station?

Longdistance · 13/06/2020 00:33
