Misconceptions people have about you

Do you find people assumenthings about you? I get this a lot. Just silly things. Like, people assume I love stationery. I don't. I think it's useful to carry a biro but I couldn't care less what it looked like, and I haven't carried a pencil case for the past 20 years.

That I'm miserable bitch because I don't have a 'happy face' oh I'm sorry that's my face and I don't walk around like the Cheshire Cat.

Once they speak to me they know I'm not like that!

Yes, all my childhood people thought I was 'stuck up', when I was just shy!

That I'm sweet and innocent and a bit boring.

That I’m always happy and very innocent. I have a real dark side that actually scares me sometimes and I am far from innocent. People would be very shocked if I knew what I used to get up to (nothing illegal!). I don’t really mind, they can think what they like and if anything I find it funny that most people don’t have a clue!

That I'm laid back. Usually hear it from colleagues. I'm not, I'm always stressing or worrying about one thing or another but I obviously hide it well at work!

That I’m thick.

That I'm 'posh'. My husband nearly wet himself laughing when I relayed that one to him.

That I’m a troublemaker. Oddly enough this seems to be the opinion of family members I have no contact with and whom I discovered really bad things about. My friends, neighbours and real family have no complaints at all 🤗

I don't know why! But it's come up loads of times. It's very odd to me as I am a big fan of romance dramas and will watch literally anything with a spaceship in it.
