Chimney smoke
Tomato vines
Indian food

• A baby/ puppies head (it’s sort of a warm powdery, sweet smell, so comforting and just makes you want to squeeze them)

• A mans beard after his been at work (sort of salty fresh air, reminds me of my DF & DH)

• Freshly baker bread In the oven

• Lavender growing in a field.

• Walking past kfc or a fried chicken shop on an empty stomach (and I’m a vegetarian!)

The smell in the early morning in summer time, and cut grass.

The smell of freshly washed or tumble dried clothes (unfortunately I don't have a table dryer.

While I was pregnant (I am again, so just waiting for it) I used. To love the smell of sponges or scrunchies that you use in the shower. I would stand in there and sniff them for ages.

Mine would be

• baking bread..... Makes me feel all earth mothery.
• Roses
• Mimosa flowers. Perhaps because the smell reminds me of fresh washing, but the smell goes all through the house, so no matter what a pit the place is, it at least smells clean.

But I do have a a very weird one. I bumped into an ex of mine one scorching hot day. He'd had a day off and had been bimbling around and I'd been in a cool office all day. We chatted and when he hugged me goodbye, he smelt oddly of fried eggs and cheese, but not in a bad way. In fact, the smell of a frying egg makes me a bit wistful for that day.

I also think my cats smell like biscuits, particularly their fluffy tummies. I thought it was just me.

@coffeebiscuitsrepeat all little babies have a milky sweet kind of smell but I just think its stronger and sweeter in breastfed babies, just a warm sweet smell of loveliness

This thread is amazing OP! I agree with so many! I've struggled to choose but I'm going with:

• lilacs
• my dd's head when they were under 4
• basketballs in PE at school (that rubbery smell)
