Do you ever look on Rightmove...

when you're not even househunting, just to imagine how you would change properties if they were yours? I'm obsessed with it at the moment! If anyone has a spare £100k or so they're not really needing, chuck it my way and I can realise my vision! Grin

I love a bit of rightmove, it satisfies my need to know how neighbours houses are decorated when a for sale sign goes up Blush

Oblomov20 · 04/06/2020 14:21

All the time. Million pound houses.

UncomfortableSilence · 04/06/2020 14:22

Yep, regularly. This morning I was looking at coastal properties as that's the dream for me.

I regularly go on Rightmove so that if I ever win the lottery, I know exactly which property I will be booking a view of. Annoyingly my last candidate was auctioned off a few days ago and I haven't found the next candidate yet.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 04/06/2020 14:22

Oh I love a bit of House Porn

If anyone has a good one, do share.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 04/06/2020 14:24

I once found my perfect house only for it to sell Sad

zigaziga · 04/06/2020 14:26

I used it quite a lot when we were renovating and then decorating for inspiration.

CheerfuIPotato · 04/06/2020 14:28

Yep but I don’t bother with million pound houses. If you’re going to dream, dream big.

My “huge lottery win” house is £4,000,000.

Lavenderpurple · 04/06/2020 14:29

Haha yes, literally just clicked off Rightmove before seeing this thread.

WitchyMoo · 04/06/2020 14:32

All the time... Oxfordshire mainly, not cheap though around 5 million , but it's countryside as far as the eye can see , not another house in sight
My ideal

notchickenagain · 04/06/2020 14:34

Always on it looking at decor, deciding what would look nice in my house as I haven't a clue.

TeddyBeans · 04/06/2020 14:35

Love a bit if house searching. Even better then they have floor plans!

Bearlyclearly · 04/06/2020 14:41

I love it, Anglesey and Cornwall are my favourite hunting grounds for when I win the lottery

Dunking · 04/06/2020 14:43

Yep. Off for viewing pleasure now Grin

LemonBreeland · 04/06/2020 14:45

All the time. Bloody love it.

BigusBumus · 04/06/2020 14:48

I go on Rightmove when Ive had a row with DH and wistfully fantasise about what i could afford if i moved out! haha!

oldwhyno · 04/06/2020 14:59

for sure, I have a regular browse. need to spend about 1.5m to get me a bit excited round here though. anything less than that and our 4 bed 30's semi does us very very well.

terrible housing stock round here means a worthwhile step up doesn't exist for less.

JacobReesMogadishu · 04/06/2020 15:01

Constantly.

ArseholesOnToast · 04/06/2020 15:02

I love a good old snoop on Rightmove. I look at all sorts of houses and what you can get for the same amount in different parts of the country.

I look at dream houses in a couple of my dream locations.

I look at houses for sale/rent in my area and I also look at sold house prices.

The more photos the better and I do like a nice floor plan. I also have a look at the area on street view!

When I was looking to move a couple of years back I set up alerts for that area, I still get these and I have a little look sometimes!

Deathraystare · 04/06/2020 15:02

Yeah I love property porn! I imagine having millions but you know what? There is never a perfect house. I am outraged (probably too strong a word) at the amount of expensive houses that only have one bathroom , one toilet, not much in the way of garden - I don't want shingle!

JacobReesMogadishu · 04/06/2020 15:02

Saw something on the news yesterday saying RightMove has been having more hits than ever the last few weeks and they’re predicting the housing market to go crazy over next few months. Pontificating that people have reassessed their lives and will be moving ASAP.

I just reckon it’s bored people like me having a bit of a fantasy browse.

JacobReesMogadishu · 04/06/2020 15:03

I’m very Cross I can’t find a house I like in the Lake District even with a budget of £5million. Grin

AmazingBouncingFerret · 04/06/2020 15:04

I always used to do it and then last year ended up buying the dream house we fell in love with!

Poppyismyfavourite · 04/06/2020 15:06

I'm with @CheerfuIPotato - once when I was actually looking I accidentally clicked "sort High to low" - there's a beautiful 8m house (Estate?) I have my eye on!

Ibeingbornawomananddistressed · 04/06/2020 15:06

All the time! Sometimes to fantasise about giant budgets in various areas, and sometimes to see what's available within budget in areas I might like to move to when kids leave home and I downsize and relocate somewhere less expensive and with more privacy...
