Settle an argument please - where does Jim live?

Pound is obviously point, and I thought I was replying to Beingatwatitsabingthing 😫

@LittleMissYorkshireLass

Haha. That’s fine. I’ve seen it.

OK, I seriously need to get a life but I don't think The downstairs toilet can exist in the house. As you go in the door to the toilet, the actual toilet seems to be opposite and the sink to the left. Both have windows behind them and the front of the house has the dining room bay right next to the front porch. The toilet is at least 6' deep judging by the tiles (which change between series - clearly redecorated 😂)

SoupDragon · 04/06/2020 17:16

Having stalked the house on Streetview, I suspect it is filmed in an upstairs bathroom above the kitchen and edited with the shots of them going in downstairs.

SoupDragon · 04/06/2020 17:17

And there is NO SHED!

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 04/06/2020 17:20

I assumed he was the ndn on the left as you look out of the front door.

PorpentiaScamander · 04/06/2020 17:29

Maybe the door to the 'downstairs toilet' under the stairs actually leads to a teleportation device that takes you upstairs to the toilet Grin

DMCWelshcakes · 04/06/2020 17:38

I watched an interview with the cast where they said that the downstairs cloakroom is under the stairs but that they film those scenes in an en suite upstairs as there's not enough room for cast and crew in the actual downstairs toilet.

I may be overinvested.

spiderlight · 04/06/2020 17:38

That downstairs toilet is definitely too big to be under the stairs, especially because there's the other little cupboard next to it (where Martin hides the fox and so forth). I've spent far too long peering through doors trying to work out the layout as well!

Oh! Diagrams! Let's have a floor-plan-drawing competition Grin

House is in Mill Hill, I pass it often! I always thought he lived to the left if you're stood in the doorway looking towards the road

mangomama91 · 04/06/2020 17:44

I always think next door but then when I watch it I think maybe a few doors down. Husband thinks a few doors down

Timeandtune · 04/06/2020 17:46

I always assumed Jim lived across the road. On reflection that assumption is pretty baseless.

justchecking1 · 04/06/2020 17:51

"we've only got one more to go and it's 'Wilson' "

Actually that means you've got another 6 to go, there's a whole new series! It's on All4

SuncreamInTheWinter · 04/06/2020 17:56

I always thought across the road and down a bit. But I have no evidence for this

spiderlight · 04/06/2020 18:02

@justchecking1 - we've watched the new series, but DS insisted on watching it with us to see why we were so excited, and loved it so much that he wanted to see all the others.

I always thought next door to the right. I assumed it was his parents house which he inherited and got Wilson to keep him company in the big house.

I have no evidence to back any of this up though.
