Settle an argument please - where does Jim live?

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 04/06/2020 13:59

Jim lives. No idea what jimleves is.

Bubblewings · 04/06/2020 14:02

next door on the right when looking at the house

300XLTriColour · 04/06/2020 14:03

Hello bambinos! I’ve never thought he’s a next door neighbour. And I agree not to the left of the house as you look at it from the street as I think you see that neighbour putting his rubbish out in the bag in the tree episode. He must be near though because of the sewage in his house when the men are fixing the “eggy smell” in the street.

AvoidingTheWineAisle · 04/06/2020 14:05

I always thought it was just down the road and he popped in (Hello Jackie!) under the pretence of walking Wilson/Milson?

PrincessHoneysuckle · 04/06/2020 14:06

Down the road

Dillo10 · 04/06/2020 14:06

I just assumed somewhere on their street but it was never specified.
I would call anyone who lives a few doors either side of me a "neighbour"
Anyone right next to me a "next door neighbour" IYSWIM

whataballbag · 04/06/2020 14:08

I always thought sort of next door but one shaloooooom

MillicentMartha · 04/06/2020 14:08

DS and I agree he’s next door to the right if you are looking towards the street from their door. And he inherited it from his mum. Who was also a bit eccentric. Obviously.

CakeCakeCake21 · 04/06/2020 14:14

For some reason I was thought he lived across the road but I have nothing at all to base that on.

RobuxBriberyIsMyLifeNow · 04/06/2020 14:14

I always thought he lived opposite them. Confused

CakeCakeCake21 · 04/06/2020 14:14

always thought not was thought

Plumplumbadum · 04/06/2020 14:24

Shalommmmmm

He lives next door with Wilson/Milson. Though he does not have his own female.

Shalommmmmmmmmm

heartsonacake · 04/06/2020 14:25

There are several episodes where you can see him coming out of his house, which is on the right hand side of the Friday Night Dinner house (looking out from their front door).

LemonBreeland · 04/06/2020 14:31

I'm definitely going with across the road. Surely not next door

spiderlight · 04/06/2020 14:37

@heartsonacake That's precisely the evidence I need - any idea which episodes?

OP posts:
Fauchelevant · 04/06/2020 14:43

I genuinely don’t think Jackie could cope with having him right next door. He’d always be waiting every time she came out the front or back door, or peering over the fence or trying to stare into their bedroom window or something!

AnnieJ1985 · 04/06/2020 14:46

I feel like we have to pen a letter to the writer...

Tappering · 04/06/2020 14:54

Next door - formerly with Wilson and now with Milson.

Shalom!

Happymum12345 · 04/06/2020 15:20

Over the road.

Velvian · 04/06/2020 15:36

Next door to the right if you are inside the house facing the front door. To the left if you are on the drive facing the door.

LittleMissYorkshireLass · 04/06/2020 16:50

Another thing I noticed in one of the earlier episodes, the downstairs toilet is under the stairs, but seems longer than it should be! As they all go in there and it's massive and not a slope ceiling!

SoupDragon · 04/06/2020 16:52

The house layout annoys me immensely as, to me, the stairs are back to front.

The house is in Mill Hill apparently. Perhaps we could track it down and go for a visit 😂

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 04/06/2020 16:53

How would they have their chats about females if they couldn’t all fit in the downstairs loo?!?
PorpentiaScamander · 04/06/2020 16:59

Next door, maybe next door but one, to the left if you look out of the Goodman's front door.

@SoupDragon I thought I was the only person who thought the stairs were the wrong way round Grin

DS2 wants 2 dogs when he moves out. Called Wilson and Milson.

LittleMissYorkshireLass · 04/06/2020 17:04

Yes good pound, and where would they hide the cheese and cakes 🤣🤣
