For some reason I will not try banana fritters.
Just the idea of eating them makes me go gaaaaaaah 😣

Meat. Fish. Anything that has a face.

testing987654321 · 22/05/2020 08:32

Chip butty. I am assured they are delicious but I just don't believe it.

ivykaty44 · 22/05/2020 08:33

I always think twice looks like a shit 🤮

FTMF30 · 22/05/2020 08:35

Jellied eels
Sauerkraut

They're both making my nostrils uncontrollably flare just thinking about them 🤢🤮

Tomorrowsanewday · 22/05/2020 08:37

Phew, so you’re ok with dick but not with duck 😂😂😂

MoonBaby1 · 22/05/2020 08:37

There’s nothing I wouldn’t try. I’m always a bit surprised there are NT adults out there that wouldn’t at least try a food once.

Saying that there are very few foods I dislike. Bananas mainly.

NiteFlights · 22/05/2020 08:37

Seafood. If they didn't live in the sea they would be insects and I wouldn't eat them either.

Grin

I wouldn’t eat:
-octopus - they’re very intelligent, plus it looks disgusting
-snails
-jellied eel - I watched my friend try it once, her face was a picture. I was a strict veggie at the time, thankfully.
-sea urchin. Saw it once on Masterchef, the whole thing was incredibly revolting
-I don’t think I could eat tripe, brains, sweetbreads etc

middleager · 22/05/2020 08:38

Eggs
Fish
Mayonaise and Coleslaw
Pastes - fish, beef etc.

MoonBaby1 · 22/05/2020 08:38

I love eel but jellied eel isn’t really very nice.

goatley · 22/05/2020 08:40

Nothing.

I say don't knock it until you've tried it.

I have eaten most things that folk hate. Plus others. It doesn't mean that I'll make them a part of my daily diet. I know what I like and what I can live without eating again - chicken feet, rice pudding, milky tea, spam..

Tomato ketchup. I've never tasted it in my life, and never will.

dawnpanda · 22/05/2020 08:49

Mango and mango pulp and mango juice

Goatinthegarden · 22/05/2020 08:49

I’ll try anything once, there’s not much I wouldn’t eat. I have tried tripe and it would take a lot of persuasion for me to try it again.

I must have dull tastebuds. There are some foods that I’m not really a fan of, and would prefer not to eat, given the choice, but there isn’t really anything (other than tripe) I couldn’t just stomach to be polite.

wipeyourpawsplease · 22/05/2020 08:50

I accidentally ate eel in Holland where it's called paling. It just looked like mackerel. But I wouldn't eat it again. That might be though after I saw the cover of a video in the red light district of Amsterdam called Eel Sex.

I could eat prawns till the cows come home. Prawns in chilli and garlic oil with a glass of very chilled decent white wine.

Yester · 22/05/2020 08:51

Loads of my favourite foods on here! Though would skip all the offal and tinned ravioli (gritty and slimey in one meal)

EstherLittle · 22/05/2020 08:54

Taramasalata. It looks like the vomit my DD did after eating under ripe blackberries.

@sluj you have hit the mail on the head about shellfish/seafood.

Raw onion
Cheese and onion crisps
Duck liver pate
Any kind of pate to be honest.
Black pudding/white pudding
Lychees
Those tiny mushrooms that look like they have a foreskin.

vampirethriller · 22/05/2020 08:57

Tripe. I'll eat anything else though.

Inthepurplerain · 22/05/2020 08:58

Offal
Fish- I can eat haddock but get funny about cod (because of the worms) and can not touch shellfish.
Wouldn’t be up for trying goat, or insects- plain and simple cow, pig, chicken, lamb and duck eater here.

Only tinned foods I can touch are chopped tomatoes, sweet corn and custard 😅.

ExpletiveDelighted · 22/05/2020 09:01

I like all types of fish and seafood (never tried eel and sea urchin but I would). I love oysters.

I love everything on @PatricksRum's list (except the never-tried eels).

DarkMintChocolate · 22/05/2020 09:01

Frogs legs - we went to a banquet at a chateau once. I opted out of the frogs legs mousse - I was so glad I did, as it was light green. It looked revolting! DH told me it had little bones in - and he wished he had opted out too!

popcorndiva · 22/05/2020 09:03

Any meat with loads of fat on it.

TheSherbetTurbot · 22/05/2020 09:03

Black pudding... A fried scab. How anyone can eat this is beyond me

Baconking · 22/05/2020 09:05

@TamingToddler

Butternut or orange squash?
