My ice cream envy knows no bounds, I want a Mr Whippy dammit! I tried buying something claiming to be a packet of 99s from Sainsbury’s but they were a pale imitation. My area clearly has neither enough tourists or druggies for ice cream vans.

Our labour mp has replied now. With a reply from the councillor for children and young people. He advises that for mental health (for a 4yo) we should use a website. And yes we know domestic abuse is on the rise but there is funding. Yes because we know it's so easy for women and children to escape in normal times it'll be super simple when youre physically stuck in the house with your abuser.

Have just called the GP about a suspected insect bite on DS which looks like it may be infected. They're calling me back and I'll probably have to send photos. Sockyarn I had to contact my GP on Wednesday. My shoulder- exacerbated by working from home - has flared up and I usually sort it with physio. As I don't want to pay £25 for the dubious benefits of online physio I need to start taking nerve blockers again. GP was lovely and actually seemed to have a lot more time to discuss symptoms than normal.

Morning all. Checking in. Felt so hopeless yesterday after the announcement for Scotland. Received a not from the headteacher praising my wee girl for online learning today. She was so pleased. I on the other hand am absolutely raging.

I need your help. This blended education shite. Who can I contact and what can I do to make sure this is not a thing? The guidance for schools is a joke. Basically because I don't work for the NHS or beat my child she will be last to be offered any kind of place? That's not ok.

I need a project so have decided campaigning to have this approach scrapped is my way forward I'm aware it probably won't make a difference but I will at least feel useful!

I’ve been lurking on the last couple of threads. Having a lazy morning watching telly in bed and just had that Ross Kemp thing on. It has shocked me into posting. I’ve switched over to ITV and am now seeing ‘is it safe to go to the beach’.

Our favourite beach cafe is reopening for takeaway today. The weather is crap so I’m optimistic that the queue won’t be too long if we wander down later

Judging by the speed with which these threads fill up, there are more and more like-minded souls starting to emerge from the fog, which is fab.

Only minor murdering for me today, although one is definitely a Poor Granny (my mum, who is as anti-d as I am on this occasion!). To be fair, she has firmly resisted CERTAIN DEATH thus far, even though I've seen her every week.

@trustthegeniegenie I can see my kids school from my bedroom window and just silently rage everytime. There is no one in it so chaining at the moment would just leave me freezing defo an option for August!

The other thing which has got me ranting today ... dd rides (and has been riding all through lockdown - must be single-handedly responsible for offing several pensioners) so we’re on the mailing lists of several local xc courses. They’re all reopening, subject to social distancing etc etc .. cue a few made up rules which won’t have any effect on virus transmission even in the unlikely event anyone turning up happens to be asymptomatic... what’s really irritated me is they’re ALL insisting on body protectors to be worn for all disciplines ‘because due to the current crisis you would have to wait longer for an ambulance in the event of an accident’

Which is just crap ... why doesn’t anyone actually think before they type shit like that?

DH informs me that the local council are spending today coning off all roadside parking near a local very large park. Just in case people decide to go there. The car parks and all country and woodland parks will remain closed. Wouldn’t surprise me if the roadside parking near the beach will also be coned off. Dire warnings from the council that we are not past the peak and are still in danger if we leave the house. All I can think is fuck off. Walked by the river last night, got a takeout coffee from a little deli which is desperately trying to stay open. They tried to tempt me with take out wine but the way I’m feeling I wouldn’t stop if I did start drinking. As it was I ended up crying over the coffee as it reminded me of normal life. I quite liked my old life and would like it back please

Yes- ive also noticed this thread is moving way faster than any other threads indicating that more and more people are fed up with the scaremongering crap.
Also- i note that we actually have conversations. The real dementors just seem to appear on a thread, post something horribly negative and scolding and judgy then fck off. Its as if they just want to drop their misery bombs around but arent willing to discuss it or back up their predictions in any way.

I broke cover on ours HauntedGoatFart. I am now persona non grata with the chair of the PTA. Oh well.
Interestingly my most left wing, fully paid up member of the Labour Party friend pitted herself to me as an anti dementor yesterday. She must have sensed I was a kindred spirit.
