My shielding parents early 60s most definitely wouldHmm

jonnybiscuits · 18/05/2020 12:54

Seems to me though that from our local fb page and our friends it's the older ones that are ' desperate to get out there'

CoronaIsComing · 18/05/2020 12:54

I’d give it a few weeks to see how restaurants are coping then I would. I’m 34, DH is 41 and DA is 10.

CoronaIsComing · 18/05/2020 12:54

DS 🙈

Mylittlepony374 · 18/05/2020 12:58

No. In my 40s.

Rockbird · 18/05/2020 13:00

No, not for a good while. We only just had our first takeaway last week and I worried for 8 weeks about that!

Late 40s.

BusterTheBulldog · 18/05/2020 13:01

Yes, 37-can’t wait!

mintchick · 18/05/2020 13:03

Yes! To our local steakhouse. Can't bloody wait! Late 30's

DesmondTheMoonbear · 18/05/2020 13:05

Absolutely. I can't wait. I'm 35.

justlonelystars · 18/05/2020 13:06

Yes, late 20s

Wiaa · 18/05/2020 13:08

Yes but will have to wait until we can get a babysitter we're 44 & 40

maleficent53 · 18/05/2020 13:09

Yes as soon as we can in our fiftys

Oliversmumsarmy · 18/05/2020 13:11

Definitely yes.

I hate cooking and am quite bad at it.
We ate out a lot before lockdown.

Just to have someone cook a meal I haven’t had to buy ingredients for or chop up or attempt to cook would be fantastic.

Although Dd and Ds have taken to cooking a lot of the time

We are shielding Dp who has cancer and type 1 diabetes but even he is getting sick of cooking and says he will take his chances

We think we have all had it so would love an antibody test to prove one way or the other.

We are late 50’s, early 60’s and late teens

hopsalong · 18/05/2020 13:15

Yes, absolutely. And imagine we'll push the boat out on cocktails, oysters, all the things we don't do at home.

LettuceP · 18/05/2020 13:16

Aaah op I'm so glad you made this thread, I work in a restaurant too and have been so worried about how bad it will be when we can open. This has given me a bit of hope Smile

BillywilliamV · 18/05/2020 13:17

Abso-blooming-lutely. I am 55 and I will take teenage DC with me!

Oliversmumsarmy · 18/05/2020 13:19

Dd and Ds work in hospitality as one of their main sources of income. They just want everything to return to normal so they can get on with their lives.

DinosaurOfFire · 18/05/2020 13:20

No, I wouldn't eat in having seen examples of how the virus spreads in places like restaurants etc. I would however sit outside a cafe and have a coffee/ cake, ordering inside, as long as the outdoor seating was quite far apart, and I would (and have been to) get take away from the restaurant.

Cookies2523 · 18/05/2020 13:21

Definitely not. 53.

timeforawine · 18/05/2020 13:22

Yep! 34
Can't wait to go to The Botanist :-)

Khione · 18/05/2020 13:27

Yes - I'd go tomorrow - no problem. I'm 65.

scattercushion17 · 18/05/2020 13:28

Yes, mid 30s.

Tootletum · 18/05/2020 13:29

Yes if we still have jobs. I'm 42.
