Just to add, like PP, I would be happy to go now if restaurants were open.

trappedsincesundaymorn · 18/05/2020 12:09

yep can't wait to do so. Mid 50's.

Juanmorebeer · 18/05/2020 12:09

Only if I can dine with other households so meet my friends or parents for a meal.

Not with DH, been stuck with him for ages need a break.

HoldMyLobster · 18/05/2020 12:09

My favourite pub/restaurant actually reopens today. I’m thinking about going some time this week. I’m 50.

Whatevernext1 · 18/05/2020 12:11

I can't wait to go out to a restaurant! I will admit I am quite wary though.
I know it probably sounds over the top but I will be taking my own cutlery (I already have a travel set that i keep in the car) I already use my own straw and reusable cups when out and about so I may take these with me too. I know I'll look ridiculous but I don't care!
I've been using antibacterial wipes to wipe the table down in the staff room before I eat on my break too.
I will be picky about which restaurants I go to as I don't want to be crammed in with lots of other people.
Restaurants are a big part of my social life and I miss going a lot, safety definitely comes first though.
I also have friends in the industry and it's such a worrying time for them. I hope things get back to some sort of normality for them soon.

Whatevernext1 · 18/05/2020 12:11

Forgot to say I'm mid 30's

OneJump · 18/05/2020 12:12

No - 45.

fussychica · 18/05/2020 12:15

No but rarely ate out in the UK before the virus. Early 60s.

AnxiousElephant77 · 18/05/2020 12:16

Absolutely, can't wait. I'm 42.

Uptonogoodtoo · 18/05/2020 12:17

Yes. As long as prices don’t go up. Eating out is a luxury from disposable income, if prices increase it will stop being value for money for our family of 5.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 18/05/2020 12:18

Yes, late 40s

LimitIsUp · 18/05/2020 12:19

Not sure - we are in fifties. I think I'd be reluctant

Kazzyhoward · 18/05/2020 12:19

Not at first, no. I'm mid 50s. I'd be wanting to wait until things settled down, maybe 3-6 months of "normality", low infection rates, etc., before I'd have the confidence to eat out. Even then, I wouldn't be having anything uncooked - I'd be looking at everything being cooked/fried.

MillicentMartha · 18/05/2020 12:20

God, yes! I’ve been getting a weekly takeaway, but it’s not the same. I can’t afford to eat out every week but once a month or so.

MillicentMartha · 18/05/2020 12:21

I’m mid 50s.

Bbq1 · 18/05/2020 12:25

Absolutely yes. I'm termed as high risk but if they're deemed safe ill go.

Bbq1 · 18/05/2020 12:25

46

OnItCarBonnet · 18/05/2020 12:26

Yes, mid-30s. I’d go to one tonight if they were open

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 18/05/2020 12:27

I would do anything to eat a meal I had not planned , shopped for, cooked and washed up!
I'm 44 .

Marylou2 · 18/05/2020 12:28

Absolutely. Can't wait. I'm 51. Providing suitable precautions are in place to protect staff and customers I want to get back to living my life and to allow the hospitality industry to get back to work.

JassyRadlett · 18/05/2020 12:29

Absolutely. We have lots of lovely restaurants and cafes near us and I can’t wait to go back. We’re early 40s.

Redskylark · 18/05/2020 12:29

I'm 30, I'll be waiting a month or two after they open to go back in the hope of missing the rush and so that I've had a chance to look at any related infection rises

Bbq1 · 18/05/2020 12:30

God yes @Wheretofindabrolly That would be heaven!

Bbq1 · 18/05/2020 12:31

Sorry @Don'tforgetyourbrolly !

ofwarren · 18/05/2020 12:31

No and 40
