I work in hospitality. Thanks!

No, but only because I'm 31 weeks pregnant and feel like I should be extra careful even when the baby is here. I'm 28. If I wasn't pregnant I would.

daisypond · 19/05/2020 07:59

No. Early 50s. But we don’t eat out really anyway. Always seemed pointless to us.

HandfulOfFlowers · 19/05/2020 08:03

Yes absolutely. Family of four.

redwoodmazza · 19/05/2020 08:11

No - definitely not. We can cook better at home and for far less money - let alone have to worry about Covid.

Anniesnotmydaddy · 19/05/2020 08:13

Yes, early 50s

Vagndidit · 19/05/2020 08:14

I definitely miss eating out, but after observing other measures taken in countries who have relaxed restrictions and are opening up restaurants, it still doesn't look very appealing, or relaxing. Most are operating with limited seating, smaller menus, higher prices, etc. Not ideal, imo.

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 19/05/2020 09:05

I should also say we don't eat out much, as little kids get in the way, but will be making a point of getting out to a restaurant once we can.

jonnybiscuits · 19/05/2020 09:13

@parky04 how is it possible to wear a mask while eating??!!

Iwalkinmyclothing · 19/05/2020 09:34

Probably not but that's mostly because I rarely do anyway and it won't be a priority on my list of "things I want to do post lockdown"

I'm 38

MinteeFresh · 19/05/2020 09:36

No, not until either I've had the virus or a positive antibody test or been vaccinated. Ate out a lot before, 47.

lynsey91 · 19/05/2020 09:37

I can't imagine eating out is going to be an enjoyable experience if waiters are wearing masks, some diners wearing them, screens round tables etc.

Customers who go outside to smoke or go to the loo having (hopefully) to use hand sanitiser when they get back to their table.

I can't see me and DH eating out this year at all

weepingwillow22 · 19/05/2020 09:40

It depends on the restaurant. I would be more inclined to sit in a pub garden to eat than indoors. If the restaurant has good social distancing measures, tables spaced apart etc I would be tempted but not sure I could persuade my OH.
We are both early to mid 40s

lastqueenofscotland · 19/05/2020 09:50

Absolutely with bells on.
I’m 28.

Tamtam86 · 19/05/2020 09:53

Yes, definitely, can't wait. I'm 34

Just worked out my chances of dying of covid.
covid19-phenomics.org/PrototypeOurRiskCoV.html

As a middle aged female with no underlying conditions I have a 0.06% chance of dying in a given year from non covid causes. This results in 1202 deaths in a population of 2.1 million in my demographic bracket.

The excess mortality associated with covid under social distancing for my demograpic group is 60 deaths so by going out I have increased my chance of dying by 0.003% (60/2.1m)

If I go out and no one is social distancing there are an extra 281 deaths in my group so I have increased my chance of dying by 0.013%.

I think on this basis I will visit restaurants providing social distancing is in place.

RhymingRabbit3 · 19/05/2020 11:02

I am 29 and would love to go out for dinner. Unfortunately I wont be able to anytime soon as have an 8 week old baby who cant really be left yet. I'm looking forward to going to cafes for lunch though.
