I work in hospitality. Thanks!

Yes, 35

SuntanC · 18/05/2020 12:33

42, and I can't wait to get back out and about. I have missed restaurant meals so much- a huge part of my social life.

Etinox · 18/05/2020 12:34

No, 51
Too worried about money, it wouldn’t be a treat Sad

catinb0oots · 18/05/2020 12:35

Wow what an overwhelmingly positive result! Not many responses from over 60s though which make up most of our clientele during the week

No (mid forties and late thirties).

However, that’s because we both have underlying medical conditions. If we were both in perfect health, then we might think differently.

ACautionaryTale · 18/05/2020 12:38

yes - 44 and obese. I'll be there like a shot.

I'll also be on one of the first on a plane for a weekend break to Europe or to our apartment in the canaries.

These things are what I miss most about the current shit show. I'm an introvert who works from home and shops online anyway - but my food and holidays I miss.

My DH is 61 and will come along with me because he has no choice. :-)

Life it to be lived not merely existed in for as a long a time as possible with no enjoyment.

DailyFailstinks · 18/05/2020 12:39

Absolutely! Can’t wait. I’m in my mid 30s.

iVampire · 18/05/2020 12:39

Probably not, as I’m in the shield group and expect we’ll remain under restrictions for a considerable time longer than other people

I’m in my 50s

adventurer2020 · 18/05/2020 12:40

Yes absolutely! I'm nearly 30. Smile

AllTheUserNamesAreTaken · 18/05/2020 12:43

Yes, definitely. I’m so bloody bored of eating at home! We’ve been having a takeaway (either from a restaurant or usual takeaway) once a week and that is getting boring now

I’m 40 and DH is 50

TwentyViginti · 18/05/2020 12:44

65 and yes, provided there were screens on tables so my DC (who I don't live with) and I aren't breathing on each other! would be weird, but so much is weird now. Soon get used to it.

TwentyViginti · 18/05/2020 12:45

The demographic here is mainly younger than 60, so that will skew your poll anyway.

NaomiFromMilkShake · 18/05/2020 12:46

I am 56 and my DH is 64, I am shielding, we will give it a few weeks but then we will there like a shot.

Kljnmw3459 · 18/05/2020 12:46

I probably wouldn't, not just because of covid but money reasons. I don't even get take away often, we're trying to save money in case of redundancies.

Kljnmw3459 · 18/05/2020 12:46

Oh and I'm mid-30s

CovidicusRex · 18/05/2020 12:46

Yes. 20s.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 18/05/2020 12:47

Yes, I'll be there like a shot! Providing I still have a job though. I'm 29.

Pantheon · 18/05/2020 12:48

Not after reading a Guardian article about how quickly and easily the virus can spread in restaurants. :(
Mid 30s

ElizabethMainwaring · 18/05/2020 12:49

No. Late 40s

Mummyilovejokes1 · 18/05/2020 12:49

Yes absolutely, i am 37. My son says going out to eat is the thing he misses most so it will be the 1st thing we do! He wants to go to Wagamammas

FloreanFortescue · 18/05/2020 12:49

No not yet, 31.

jonnybiscuits · 18/05/2020 12:51

They are back open here in NZ since Friday. Most have had to remove 50% of tables to maintain some semblance of physical distancing. Despite living in an area reliant on restaurants for its economy and being big big patrons neither I nor friends have gone yet. Still feels a bit weird!

We stilL support them by getting deliveries and takeaways but it might take a while before we all feel happy sitting in a place near others for a good few hours (despite no cases in NZ for a good few days and no community transmission for weeks)

AgentProvocateur · 18/05/2020 12:52

Yes, we’re 51 and until corona hit, ate out most nights. We’re desperate to go to our favourite restaurants again.

marcopront · 18/05/2020 12:52

I'm not in the UK.
I'm currently in a cafe. We live in an area where restaurants rely very heavily on the tourist trade and so many may close, so want to continue using them. It is fairly empty so easy to social distance, the staff wear masks. We were given hand sanitiser when we sat down as we hadn't washed our hands when we came in.
I'm early 50s.

lifestooshort123 · 18/05/2020 12:52

67 and yes yes yes!
