So I'm 30 on Monday.
In lockdown.

Obviously not what I had planned. While we weren't going to do much because I had a baby in January so I cant go out and get plastered - we were planning on a nice meal out while DS goes to Nanny's house. Which won't be happening.

Oh well, que sera, sera and all that.

Let me live vicariously and let me know how you all celebrated your 30ths! Grin

I seem to be crap at 'milestone' birthdays.

On my 30th I was very heavily pregnant and suffering from SPD as well as terrible acid reflux- which meant I was not able to walk or eat without pain and didn't feel like I had slept properly in months. DH wanted to do something nice for me (even though I told him I just wanted to stay in) so took me out for dinner. I ended the evening by throwing up at the table as I'd had too much to eat and when I started to feel queezy DH had nipped to the loo so wasn't around to help me get there (long story, but he'd put my crutches behind his chair and I daren't ask a waiter to pass them to me for fear of vomiting on him when I asked- I thought I could hold it in, I was wrong).

On my 40th we has recently had a 90% reduction in family income (another long story- all for the best but tough at the time) and DH was re-training for a new career so training and studying all hours. Again, he wanted to do something nice for me but I knew we had no money (even a takeaway would have been a stretch) and he had even less time. I pretended what I really fancied was frozen pizza and oven chips. In the end the DC decided they wanted to 'cook' it so it ended up half burned as well. But the thought was there.

It's my 50th in the next few years. I have been thinking that I'd really like a long weekend/week away with DH and the DC somewhere sunny with a lovely meal as a celebration. I'm really hoping travel etc will be back to normal by then- but it wouldn't surprise me if I ended up with chip butties in the rain on a UK campsite!

I had a baby at 6am and was home drinking champagne by lunchtime!

Let me go back through the mists of time... ah yes... the fog is clearing... 😂

DH and I went to New York. First child free break in years and it was fabulous. Had such a fun time and enjoyed all the usual tourist stuff. It was in January and it was freezing, so I've always said I'd love to go back in late spring.
