Confession

I have a confession. My OH has a few awful items of clothing that he wears quite often. Otherwise, he dresses well. These items are what you’d probably expect to see a 14 year old boy in, yet he’s 40. And so today, I’ve grabbed them and hidden them in a place he will never ever find them and I’ll deny all knowledge of where they are.
That’s better. 😊

Oh come on, Travis!

c3pu · 15/05/2020 21:27

I'm with Travis1.

Perhaps now would be a good time to give your husband the chance to consign some of your wardrobe to room 101 to even things up a bit?

@HollowTalk do you really think I’m wrong? Can you imagine it?

‘My husbands always moaning at me when I wear some of my older clothes. Stuff that used to be trendy lol. I only wear it kicking about the house but husband always has something to say when I do wear them and now they’ve gone missing? He says he knows nothing about them disappearing but how else could they have disappeared? I’ve looked everywhere. AIBU to be upset?’

Cue forty mners piling on about gaslighting, controlling, abuse etc etc I guarantee that is how it would go.

Travis1 · 15/05/2020 21:43

Ohhhhh wonder what @mrsmummy111 had to say about me then 😂😂😂😂

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 15/05/2020 21:57

I accidentally (genuine accident) binned a sweatshirt of my DH about 25 years ago.
He still talks about it.

Sooki6 · 15/05/2020 21:58

@Travis1 you’re probably right, it’s a bit harsh on paper but my OH and I have a laugh about things like this. He’s always picking on my dress sense and I’m always picking on his, it’s just banter in our house! But I’m never telling him where the clothes are...!

The replies to this will be interesting after the cries of “LTB” after the thread about the pot this morning.

Sooki6 · 15/05/2020 22:02

@Nicknacky what’s LTB?

When we moved in together my now dh assumed he was bringing some brown sandals that I did think actually belonged to Christ himself...
He binned them.
And the hideous orange puffa coat he wore also...
Shock

Sooki6 · 15/05/2020 22:07

@windyatthebeach I think Jesus himself had mercy on you! I part he never wore them together!

@Sooki6 a posters husband binned a pot that had been her mother’s after it broke and didn’t tell her. She was raging and a load of posters told her she should leave him. Over a pot.

Sooki6 · 15/05/2020 22:08

Sooki6 · 15/05/2020 22:08

Oh god! Well that’s different- it’s an air loom not green jogging bottoms (I’m not joking)

OP posts:
Nicknacky · 15/05/2020 22:16

That doesn’t matter, it’s someone else’s property. Go fish it out and put it back.

My h had a shirt that was totally falling apart when we moved in. But it was his shirt, not mine.

Sooki6 · 15/05/2020 22:25

@nickynacky no way! It’s lovely that you still find your OH attractive with a holey shirt on but it just doesn’t do it for me, like the leopard print clothes and floral dressing gown that I own just doesn’t do it for him! That’s the relationship so have- we take the mickey, laugh, play fight and mess about! We mean no harm, it’s just banter x

OP posts:
Nicknacky · 15/05/2020 22:27

So go fish it out and give it back. Then it’s “banter”.

Unless you don’t mind him deciding what you haven’t to wear anymore?

Sooki6 · 15/05/2020 22:29

@nickynacky we’re talking about green jogging bottoms here...

OP posts:
Nicknacky · 15/05/2020 22:29

It doesn’t matter. They are his green jogging bottoms.

Sooki6 · 15/05/2020 22:31

I know I should but I can’t, he’s got such beautiful legs, I just can’t see them inside those horrid green pipes of cloth. Maybe in a week.

SheSaidNoFuckThat · 15/05/2020 22:32

When I met my now DH he had a top that was awful, did nothing for him so I binned it! He knew I hated it and used to wear it to wind me up, after a couple weeks he asked me if I knew where it was, said "No" but couldn't keep a straight face, he just laughed and said I knew you binned it, we laughed and that was that
