Confession

I have a confession. My OH has a few awful items of clothing that he wears quite often. Otherwise, he dresses well. These items are what you’d probably expect to see a 14 year old boy in, yet he’s 40. And so today, I’ve grabbed them and hidden them in a place he will never ever find them and I’ll deny all knowledge of where they are.
That’s better. 😊

If you replace the word banter in a sentence with bullying you tend to find the true meaning of the statement.

I won’t lie to any of you, you’ve made me feel completely sick and upset. Maybe I do need to grow up, maybe I am a bully and maybe I am abusive. All of these things I thought was humour within our relationship and now I seriously doubt myself as a person. I don’t think I’ve ever felt worse. I’m going to try and ignore this thread now whilst you continue to rip me to pieces. I realise it looks like I’ve made this look like it’s about me and that’s not what I’ve intended but I do feel like you’ve taken something and made it into something else- tightly or wrongly, like I say, I seriously doubt who I am right now.

Don't be sad Op; you know who you are. Whatever the MNers call you, I can relate. My husband had an old Navy style jumper with patches on (it was the style). I hated it on him as it was skin tight and made his arms look like pipe cleaners. It was winter and I saw a freezing beggar with his dog so I went home, made him some sandwiches, gave him hot water bottle and this loathed woollen jumper. The beggar was so happy, I was happy and my husband laughed when I told him what I had done and I promised to buy him a new, better fitting and more flattering jumper of his own choice. So string me up! 😆

OP, I may have put a few of DH’s t shirts (I was fed up looking at) in the tumble without Checking the label. Damn things still haven’t shrunk. I may have also used one of his t shirts as my hair dying cover up, ooops it got hair dye on it.

DH and I having a very loving relationship that has lasted, so far, 20 years despite the odd ‘missing’ article of clothing. Every couple has their own ‘in jokes‘. We have many. Neither one of us is abusive.

@Sooki6 please don't let people make you feel that way, this place is weird at the best of times, at the moment most seem to have lost the plot completely. Everything is abusive on here it would seem (the reactions to the DH breaking the pot were just ridiculous).

You know how your relationship works, don't let other make you doubt yourself
