Anyone know a good flower delivery company?

I’ve just realised it’s a big birthday for someone and I want to send some nice flowers - for Monday!

I’ve seen loads of companies online that look lovely - but don’t want it to end up like a bunch of half-dead daffs!

Having had bad experiences in the past, I now always use local florists (local to the recipient, not me!) - just call them up and explain what I want and they're usually happy to oblige. It helps to support small businesses and they also usually have their own local transport so no worries about flowers getting damaged in the post etc.

They can often also do same day or last minute delivery as they'll be local to the recipient, which is great for me as I do everything last-minute Grin

My B&W flowers were due at my friend's house on the 12th. Just checked tracking and they've just been received at her delivery depot today - does that mean they'll arrive half dead??

I used your code bowwow89. Here's mine for Bloom and Wild

A bit late to the party, but another one to say Bloom and Wild. I got DM a six month delivery as her Christmas present. She's in the vulnerable category and has really looked forward to receiving her monthly flowers which is just as well as she can't get to the shops to buy them herself.

Considering whether I should do a re-order for the next six months after it finishes next month.

After seeing a few disasters via interflora I've always looked uo a local florist and sent via them.

They want return business and usually take a pride in what they do.

I used Bloom and Wild for the first time 2 weeks ago, it was the easiest website order I’ve ever done.

Ditto previous poster, used a local florist a couple of days ago for friend who had an accident and broke her right wrist and then having a severe reaction necessitating more operations to prevent loss of use of hand.

Didn’t want her to have to worry about arranging anything so local florist delivered already arranged in a vase - friend was delighted and we got to support a local business Smile

I got a photo of the Bloom & Wild flowers I sent today (so a week on?) and they have opened up and look really beautiful.

Me too, my friend loved them. I ordered another box for a different friend yesterday afternoon. She got them this morning and is chuffed to bits.

My code if anyone wants it: refer.bloomandwild.com/m/ol/rg1gz-646f3b6d71

I know this thread is a bit old but I found it because I want to send some flowers to my mum and needed a reliable MN suggestion for who to use.

Just wanted to thank Bowwow89 so very much for posting the Bloom &Wild code. Very much appreciated xx 😊

madebyhand · 13/11/2020 09:37

I prefer Haute Floriste to Bloom and Wild, their hand tied ones are gorgeous. I sent both to my mum over lockdown and she struggled with arranging the letterbox flowers.

madebyhand · 28/11/2020 18:08

I sent my bloom and wild flowers Post box ones. The recipient said they looked awful she thought they were dead, I was a bit embarrassed to have to direct her to the website for instructions on how they perk up. They have and look nice now but for the first two days looked awful. So if you want a wow factor when opening then don’t choose these. If you don’t mind then go for it - they do last well.

I have a Freddie's Flowers subscription and opt to receive flowers fortnightly. I love them.

But for gifts, I tend to use Bloom & Wild (but always pay extra for DPD delivery as I think Royal Mail is rubbish!)

In my experience it's better to phone a local florist close to the person who is receiving the flowers and arrange delivery that way.
