Anyone know a good flower delivery company?

I’ve just realised it’s a big birthday for someone and I want to send some nice flowers - for Monday!

I’ve seen loads of companies online that look lovely - but don’t want it to end up like a bunch of half-dead daffs!

Bloom and wild!

I used someone’s £10 code about a month ago to get some flowers to cheer up a relative. I unfortunately lost the thread and wasn’t able to thank them

The flowers were lovely and lasted for ages. Thank you whoever code I used!

similarminimer · 09/05/2020 11:37

Freddies flowers are amazing

Jjjjjj1981 · 09/05/2020 11:38

I’ve used Marks & Spencer’s a few times and the flowers were nice. Fairly well priced too

I’ve used Clareflorist for a few years now, always been really pleased.

MummaGiles · 09/05/2020 11:41

Bloom!!

MummaGiles · 09/05/2020 11:41

Sorry Bloom and Wild

Ohdeariedear · 09/05/2020 11:48

Bloom and wild were terrible the last time I used them - the delivery person tossed it into the recipients house as the front door was open as they were having work done. Didn’t ring the bell to let anyone know. MiL discovered them a day later, squashed, when the boxes they’d fallen behind were removed.

B&W’s response?....crickets. Not even an apology. 30 down the drain. Will never use them again. And I’d been a happy customer up until then. You really learn the most about a company by looking at how they deal with problems and Bloom and Wilds response (or lack thereof) speaks volumes.

M&S were excellent recently when I sent flowers to Mil for her birthday. They’re good on delivery times/days too.

Peonyonpoint · 09/05/2020 11:55

Wow I am surprised ohdear, I’ve always had great experiences. They do GREAT Christmas deliveries as well.

Goes to tell self off for mentioning the c word in may.

Lordfrontpaw · 09/05/2020 11:56

How many weeks until Christmas?

A year of weekly flowers drools May treat myself to that this xmas.

Ohdeariedear · 09/05/2020 12:13

@Peonyonpoint I know, I had used them before and they were great and the flowers were great but this time they didn’t even apologise (or offer a replacement) they basically just went “oh well....but they were delivered, yes?”

Powerplant · 09/05/2020 12:22

M&S beautiful flowers and good delivery

ShaniaPayne · 09/05/2020 12:30

I use Great British Florist a lot - most of their flowers are grown on their farm in Herefordshire. The bouquets are rustic, cottage garden arrangements and last ages. Also love their dried arrangements.

BestIsWest · 09/05/2020 12:31

Bloom & Wild - I’ve used and received several times. I complained once about some damaged roses and they sent a replacement immediately.

I especially liked receiving tulips which had the bulbs still atttached so I could plant them.

SudokuBook · 09/05/2020 12:32

I ordered flowers for a friend’s birthday from B and W and they arrived 2 days late. I know there are issues with the post but I ordered them 10 days in advance and was a touch disappointed. Maybe I should have said the birthday was before it was so they would get there

picklesonaplate · 09/05/2020 12:33

Thank you to whoever used my code!

Whatevernext1 · 09/05/2020 13:04

Another vote for Bloom and Wild, they are beautiful and last for ages,I now don't use anything else.

Lordfrontpaw · 09/05/2020 13:07

I’ll report back on Tuesday (hopefully)!

B&W use Royal Mail for delivery unless you pay for a specific day with DPD. So if flowers are late, that's an RM thing.

You also have to check at this time of year that the flowers you've ordered are actually available, flowers being seasonal and all.

I don't work for them but they're the best and most reliable flower delivery service I've ever used.

MonkeysandParrots · 09/05/2020 16:49

I’m another Freddie’s Flowers fan here. Feel free to use the code below to get a free box (I get a half price credit as well). You can very very easily cancel afterward so no ongoing obligation.

Code is:

MicheaW34

Orangecake123 · 09/05/2020 17:17

£10 off your next order and £10 off my next order.

I last used them on the 6th of may.

When they use their own delivery drivers they also send an email to confirm they've arrived. With Royal mail they send a tracking code after it's been posted.

I've only had one bad experience when the flowers not delivered when the postman took them back to the sorting office, but they did offer a replacement which was better than the one I'd ordered.
