Not had any sleep here yet as DD has been very upset with a high temp (bastard teeth).

She's just dropped off next to me horizontally, taking up the whole bed.

Anyone else want to join the party?

I've been awake since 3.30 for absolutely no reason. I just can't get back to sleep! Luckily I'm unemployed at the moment so I can have a nap later if I need to, but my sleep pattern is fucked at the moment

purplepandas · 05/05/2020 05:08

Canlt bloody sleep and now working. Can't find decent time in the day so may as well, started at 330. Also lost it with the children last night as was so bloody tired and had really had it with parenting, schooling, working FT and DH working outside of the house. Just feels a bit shit atm. I will crash later as have meeting.

Just made myself a decaf coffee and a bagel. Hungry as did not eat much yest.

purplepandas · 05/05/2020 05:09

That sounds bad, my children are fine, I just told them they need to step up more and help out. But they are focused on them as children often are.

My sleeping patterns are all over the place (which is normal for me). Given the time and that I have a Holter monitor being delivered at some point during the day, I'm going to stay awake. I know this means that the delivery will now happen at the latest possible time, but if I go to sleep, I'll probably not hear the door!

marblesgoing · 05/05/2020 06:08

Still awake here Hmm
Have situated downstairs now with a cup of tea and a documentary on the tv

I've watched the day lighten through the window again for about the fourth time in five days now Hmm

I try not to get annoyed about not being able to sleep because it's even worse then.
Going to have to take lots of deep breaths today whilst trying to help dd with home learning stuff aswel as a bored dh which is pissing me off on his own this week Hmm

Northumberlandlass · 05/05/2020 06:41

I went back to bed because I was cold & drifted off after an hour, then an hour later my alarm went off.

DS has been woken by the cat at 0600 so he is incredibly grumpy & I don’t think today is the day for a chat!!

theothersarenotme · 05/05/2020 07:03

Well looks like it's time to stay up all night and day and suffer the chemical imbalance so as not to neglect dcs education 😩

theothersarenotme · 05/05/2020 07:09

v. interesting thread btw, seeing others sleep affected in the lock down

WifOfBif · 05/05/2020 07:54

🤞 I'm going to head up soon. Thank you for keeping me company last night.

NeverHadANickname · 06/05/2020 03:52

Anyone awake again tonight?

Bluewavescrashing · 06/05/2020 03:58

Just woke up, had a sneezing fit, now wide awake 😳🙄

NeverHadANickname · 06/05/2020 04:02

I hate that. Some nights I get to sleep then wake up and I am happy I managed to get to sleep, then can't drop off again. So frustrating.

LiveFatsDieYoGnu · 06/05/2020 04:31

My 11 week old has had me awake since 1 am. I think he's having a growth spurt as he's been feeding like a beast all day and now all night! Plus his favourite place to sleep is on me. I don't really mind - the top of his head smells all warm and biscuity and he has one teeny hand curled possessively in my cleavage Smile but I might need to sleep myself at some point Confused

Taddda · 06/05/2020 08:33

the top of his head smells all warm and biscuity

I love that smell Smile - 'warm & biscuity' is the best way I've ever heard it described!
