I'm so bored that I've decided to totally piss myself off by rewatching the end of Lost

I'm finding myself leaning towards films and tv shows that either

Terrify me
Really really piss me off

Out of pure boredom and the need to feel some form of extreme emotion rather than the standard lockdown emotions of boredom, irritability, aimless grumpiness.

So today I've watched Event Horizon, and am now watching the last season of Lost, because I don't remember the end of any tv show ever pissing me off more.

This is what it's come to. Fucking hell I'm sick of lockdown.

I debated that the other day but remembered I wasted years of my life waiting to be told what I already knew . 🙄🤷‍♀️🙈

christmassausages · 03/05/2020 20:44

I had this very thought yesterday. Then I remembered how it ended and decided against it. Wasted years of my life on this programme Grin Grin

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 03/05/2020 20:45

I didnt mind the ending thought it was quite nice! Though think was ready for it to end at that point as got more wacky with time travel, flash sideways, the magic light and whatever else.

Did consider having a Once Upon a time rewatch but again that got a bit meh. And the last season they did was so unnecessary

I've decided to watch it from the beginning, which I'm doing now.

So sick of lockdown that I'm finding myself thinking "Ooh I'd like to be on that island, catching some sun and losing this lockdown weight, despite the danger".

I once listened to an interview with the woman who played the nice older woman with white hair. She wasn't in the early series so she she asked the director for tapes of those episodes so she could catch up/know what's going on. And he literally told her not to bother, that no know knew what the hello was going on Grin

RRocket · 03/05/2020 20:50

We were talking about this on a zoom call yesterday and someone compared it to the end of The Sopranos, which I was personally happy with.

But I remember being absolutely apoplectic with rage at the end of Lost.

what the hell not what the hello

Dowser · 03/05/2020 20:52

Good lord
I loved lost
We’ve never watched the ending..in case it’s shit
Same as we have never watched the last season of prison break
Which was excellent by the way

bigchris · 03/05/2020 20:53

I can't remember why We were all so cross?!

Dozer · 03/05/2020 20:54

At the time I was just v v confused by that point, the ending was weird and schmaltzy but it didn’t irritate me. Rewatched the ending once and was still Confused

Jack irritated me in every single episode. So uptight and self righteous!

Sawyer was hot!

Wanderlust21 · 03/05/2020 20:57

Yeah but Charlie though, ooft, I was smitten.

runwithme · 03/05/2020 20:57

bigchris wasn't it because the ending was lazy, on par with someone waking up and it was all a dream.

I loved Lost, when it was easy to understand. Would have preferred it to just be about plane crash survivors and not all smoke monsters and The Others and time travelling crap.

And yes, Sawyer- a beautiful man!

KitKat1985 · 03/05/2020 20:58

I think 'Lost' was the most infuriating ending to a TV show ever. I literally wasted hours of my life invested in wanting to find out all the mysteries of the island, and then it ended like that

SecondStarFromTheRight · 03/05/2020 20:59

@RRocket You should watch How I Met Your Mother. I think that'll fit the criteria nicely for a 'really really piss me off' ending.

eggofmantumbi · 03/05/2020 21:00

I was the same OP, A absolutely fuming.
There was so much interesting stuff in that series and they choose to end it like that. Still baffles me now. DH didn't mind it though.

Dexter was another show that was generally good, but the ending was terrible

Wanderlust21 · 03/05/2020 21:00

I didnt mind the ending exactly
...but the smoke monster thing was such an anti climax.

justtb · 03/05/2020 21:02

Hey what's wrong with Lost? Polar bears, pushing buttons, Sawyer 😍🤤😍🤤

Ok tell me what happened, dp and I never got to the end. We gave up a few episodes before the end because it was getting so ridiculous!

RRocket · 03/05/2020 21:06

I thought they didn't all die in the crash, they all died at different times across the 5 years, but the alternate flash world time worked differently so they were all there at the same time in the flash version?

OP posts:
tiredanddangerous · 03/05/2020 21:07

I’ve watched the whole of lost twice and I still have no idea what the ending is suppose to mean.

RRocket · 03/05/2020 21:08

But did the crash even happen?

Were they even on the island? Was the island even a real place???
Aaaarrrrggghhhhhh 🤪😩😤🤯🤯

OP posts:
IHaveBrilloHair · 03/05/2020 21:09

Why would you do that to yourself?
What a waste of what was at one point a great show.
