I didn't realise she was due already. Baby boy born this morning!

Wonderful news. Congratulations to them both.

Francina670 · 29/04/2020 13:46

Of course he shouldn’t be taking bloody paternity leave.

All over the country people are putting the care of vulnerable and sick people above their own family. There are mothers of young children who have moved into care homes to protect residents, doctors and nurses working a huge number of hours with inadequate PPE putting their and their family’s health at risk.

What makes his family and his baby so special that the man at the very top at this shit pyramid can take 2 cosseted weeks to play happy families?

ducksback · 29/04/2020 13:46

The unmarried comment was intended as a slur by the person who posted it originally.

Devlesko · 29/04/2020 13:46

I find it funny how many people would be slagging them both off on here, one for lack of morals and fathering half of london, being an absent parent etc.
The other for being the OW and mistress.

Such hypocrites, typical tories. Grin

ducksback · 29/04/2020 13:47

Of course he shouldn’t be taking bloody paternity leave

He isn't so go and froth about something else.

Roussette · 29/04/2020 13:48

Exactly. There was a heartbreaking video of a Mum on the frontline of NHS who hadn't seen her DCs for weeks as she'd moved into a nurses home to do her job. She'd finally gone home, her DD was inconsolable with joy (if that were possible) at finally seeing her Mum.
I am sure Boris can catch up with his baby's progress in the morning an evening.

peppermintcapsules · 29/04/2020 13:48

So you are ok with labelling another woman a 'mistress' or 'his latest squeeze'?

Sure. Why not? People are labelled all the time. My ex, a man, is a straight up slag. Why do you believe others should be dictated to in how they use language that's within the law?

ducksback · 29/04/2020 13:50

Devlesko I am no Tory (in fact I was a staunch Labour voter until Corbyn/Momentum destroyed the party).

Supersimkin2 · 29/04/2020 13:50

Rudeness is at the very least, being a bit unreasonable, a bit opinionated and at least a bit untrue about someone.

Carrie is a single woman. She is an unwed mother. The baby is illegitimate, although Boris can declare himself as the DF later if he wants to.

None of this is opinion. Pointing out fact can't be rude.

BiggerBoat1 · 29/04/2020 13:50

MeganBacon I think BJ's inability to be faithful is the least of our worries in terms of his suitability as a PM.

His inability to tell the truth, his racism and homophobia are more of a worry I think.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 29/04/2020 13:50

Wow, wasn't expecting such a nasty thread about a baby on a website for mothers Hmm

Babies are always welcome, even Boris Johnson's baby.

I hope he doesn't take much more time off at the moment as he is the elected leader, and leaving Dominic Raab in charge is more of a holding pattern, and strategic decisions will need to be made soon, including any extension to lock down, getting the economy back on track etc.

ducksback · 29/04/2020 13:51

peppermint I hate any sort of misogyny. You can say those things if you like but you show yourself to be a misogynist. If you are happy with that then crack on.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 29/04/2020 13:52

I don't think we are being rude about the MUM
Just the father

But however inadequate he's though to be isn't Boris the parent too, or does that only apply to mothers? And doesn't MN usually claim to be here "to make ALL parents' lives easier" and to caution us against posting something we "wouldn't want to read about ourselves"?

Again, I'm genuinely not trying to defend Boris as a person - I'm interested in the principle, and how abuse against some parents is apparently permissible but not against others

ducksback · 29/04/2020 13:52

Superskim the point is that the comments were initially MEANT to be a slur. Can you understand that?

Roussette · 29/04/2020 13:53

Great he isn't taking paternity leave although worrying to say he'll take it another time. That's another exclusive caribbean holiday coming up. He can't afford to take any time off, our Country is in the shit pan and will take a tremendous amount of putting back together, and then there's Brexit...

peppermintcapsules · 29/04/2020 13:53

Babies are most irrelevant except to their nearest and dearest. No idea why people should express and feel a certain way because they are mothers or women Hmm.

Facts are facts: he's ditched his last two wives for mistresses who were pregnant. He won't admit just how many children he's fathered. He is not married to Carrie so she is an unwed mother and the baby is illegitimate.

Fromthebirdsnest · 29/04/2020 13:54

lovely news however i feel for him as no way will he be able to take paternity leave :( x i hope they have a lovely nanny to help her out as itl be hard with a new born with little support as your husband is pm in the middle of a bloody pandemic ,poor thing x

ducksback · 29/04/2020 13:54

Great he isn't taking paternity leave although worrying to say he'll take it another time. That's another exclusive caribbean holiday coming up

Absolutely laughable. He could not win.

Roussette · 29/04/2020 13:54

Puzzledandpissedoff Interesting. Good point.

I just can't stand the man, that's the problem.

peppermintcapsules · 29/04/2020 13:54

Superskim the point is that the comments were initially MEANT to be a slur. Can you understand that?

That's your interpretation Hmm.

ducksback · 29/04/2020 13:56

the baby is illegitimate

The baby is a baby. Illiegitimate is not a term I would ever use about another human being. How vile.

ducksback · 29/04/2020 13:57

That's your interpretation

Go back and read them. You will see.

Roussette · 29/04/2020 13:57

lovely news however i feel for him as no way will he be able to take paternity leave sad x i hope they have a lovely nanny to help her out as itl be hard with a new born with little support as your husband is pm in the middle of a bloody pandemic ,poor thing

God help us...

Absolutely laughable. He could not win

Rubbish. Nowhere on here have I seen posters saying he should take paternity leave. So no idea what you mean by 'he could not win'.
I don't think he should take paternity leave, so he has done the right thing. However, his holiday record is not good... when he's needed, he isn't here (not referring to covid). Hence my comment on another caribbean holiday

Clavinova · 29/04/2020 13:57

the NHS employees and care workers who caught Covid though lack of adequate PPE - can lay the blame directly at the door of Johnson's government.

And yet, the hospital trusts concerned have denied there was a lack of adequate PPE in individual cases.

How did German doctors and nurses catch Covid-19?

11 April;
"According to the public health body the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), more than 2,300 doctors and nurses have become infected in [German] hospitals alone."

JediJim · 29/04/2020 13:58

That explains why he’s being quiet the last few days. I hope we can start to see a plan of action now for the lockdown period in terms of the restrictions.
I’m sure he wants the economy to get going as soon as is safe to do so.
