If lockdown was over tomorrow

Dream with me

If they suddenly announced that lockdown is off from
Tomorrow onwards, what’s would be your plans for the day?

I would go visit my mum and in laws and book a ticket to go see my I’ll father. And then I will go to the beach. And then if I still have energy left in me, I would also go to the library get as many books as possible so I can read them in case of a renewed lockdown. Argh if only.

I'm going straight to the tip, to get rid of the huge pile of decluttered stuff on our patio. It is good news I'm the only one doing this, there won't be a queue. I thought everyone would be doing this Grin

Imohsotired · 22/04/2020 23:53

If it was just lockdown over I'd probably just do what I've been doing

If the risk was gone I'd take the kids to my parents, give my mum a huge hug, get my highlights done, get a massage and book a flight somewhere. I'd also get the ball rolling on the work we had planned for the house we just moved into and which got postponed.

Bluebells in Kew is a good call.
I would go to Liberty to buy that bag that is currently half price with a gift token I got for my birthday. Then to Relais de Venise in Marylebone Lane with DH, DD, her best mate and a couple of good friends for a blow out, plenty of wine and a laugh. Pop into Waitrose near there for some charcuterie, cheese and wine for the evening. Black cabs both ways.
Next day I would go to see DS in his care home, McDonald's for lunch and take him shopping. Stay overnight at parent flat and visit the donkey I adopted last week.
OK so that's three days so far Blush

Idancedonday38 · 23/04/2020 00:18

I would probably stay in, just to be different! No, I would go to the beach.

Celledora · 23/04/2020 00:22

Drive to see my mum a couple of hundred miles away. Have a massive play date at the playground for my only-child DS and his little mates. Get OH’s dental problem seen to. Get me a decent coffee. Hug my family members and friends many MANY times!

SinkGirl · 23/04/2020 00:23

Send my twins to nursery and go to sleep. Tragic but true.

Likethebattle · 23/04/2020 00:47

Me and DH would drive somewhere pretty fwe are in the west of Scotland so not too far to go) we’d have a lovely walk and a pub meal then home to relax.

YerAWizardHarry · 23/04/2020 00:50

I would be back working making cocktails for everyone else out loving life. I'm dreading it to be honest.

HaddawayAndShite · 23/04/2020 00:58

Probably continue to live similar to pre lockdown as there will be a very predictable spike in cases is everyone just rushes out.

In a make believe world where the virus stops existing, visit family and friends. Try and get my 6th of June wedding un-cancelled and try make it better than it was even going to be and have massive big party and piss up with our invitees.

MrsPear · 23/04/2020 01:07

Sit in the pub garden by myself for lunch. Book my appointment at the passport office

Sazerac · 23/04/2020 01:40

Super-short term & assuming it was safe (i.e. lockdown gone because Covid no-longer a threat), I'd head to my local folk night for a couple of pints & a few songs.

I'd also book a really good deep tissue massage & an appointment to sort out my eyebrows. I'd book leave from work so I could do the hiking and cycling I'd planned before this shit kicked off.

if lockdown was removed but it was not safe, I wouldn't change much, although I would start the steps to move away from my current living situation.

Haybo26 · 23/04/2020 01:49

Go see my mum and then have a Nandos.

StillDumDeDumming · 23/04/2020 02:02

I’d see my dc - they’re only 15 and 19 but at the dad’s. Missing them like mad.

MarylandMayhem · 23/04/2020 02:04

I'd stuff my face with KFC then go to the pictures.

ColourMyDreams · 23/04/2020 02:09

I would give 70% of my staff their P45, which they will be getting when lockdown is lifted anyway.
Then I will go to the pub with my remaining staff and buy them lunch and drinks.

Justgivemewine · 23/04/2020 02:53

Tricky as dh and I are vulnerable and would still want to isolate for a while but I would risk the 5hour journey to see my parents who,are also isolating due to age so negligible chance any of us have it to pass on to,each other.

echt · 23/04/2020 03:09

I would go for a film and meal with DD.

Mascotte · 23/04/2020 03:28

See my man and have a shagfest 😃

Wewearpinkonwednesdays · 23/04/2020 03:28

Go and buy some nice garden furniture. Everything I like is bloody sold out online!

PhilCornwall1 · 23/04/2020 04:51

why wopuld you all be going to live life as nom, ral!the virus doesnt wave goodbye once its lifted.nothing has cha nged.they just can no longer keep you in lockdown.but absolutely nothing has changed in virus, trnasmition and danger terms

Because people are sick and fed up with this. Only the stupid will think the virus has been killed off. The rest just want to get back to work and try and keep their jobs.

TheGirlFromStoryville · 23/04/2020 05:09

I'd visit my mum and give the biggest hug ever. Missing her so much, I took some shopping down to her yesterday and was talking to her from the garden path. She seems to have aged and looks rather frail now 😥.
Take the dc and DDog out for the day maybe to the beach on Anglesey, have a picnic, stop for fish and chips on the way home.
When we get home I'd start booking holidays ASAP. DH is 60 next year and we were thinking of going back to NY, we haven't been for a few years but we're taking the DC this time.

Deathraystare · 23/04/2020 07:18

I would not want to relax the 2m rule and would be pissed oof that even more people are on 'my' bus!

I would like to get together with some friends but with my luck they would be doing something else!
