Dream with me

If they suddenly announced that lockdown is off from
Tomorrow onwards, what’s would be your plans for the day?

I would go visit my mum and in laws and book a ticket to go see my I’ll father. And then I will go to the beach. And then if I still have energy left in me, I would also go to the library get as many books as possible so I can read them in case of a renewed lockdown. Argh if only.

Working tomorrow but when I got home I would bundle the children in to the car and zoom up to the coast, about 45 minutes away. I have missed the sea.

monkeytennis97 · 22/04/2020 21:08

Go and see my son in his care home and bring him home for the day.

Polkadotpjs · 22/04/2020 21:10

If it was over as in never happened and no fall out exists then I'd be off to hairdressers and out for s lovely meal with shed loads of wine, ideally at lunch then beer garden and in bed by 8 with a day off and a huge lie in.

NoRoomInBed · 22/04/2020 21:21

Play park with DC then the Forrest walk then dump them at granny's and sit and get reacquainted with silence

tippingpointisawful · 22/04/2020 21:26

Go to the beach ... we only live a mile away but I’m wary of going as it probably isn’t essential at all. I’d love to go down with a drink and a book, go for a long swim in the sea and sunbathe on the sand . I can’t see why it should be a problem currently as it’s a very private, quiet beach (8km long, no houses anywhere near) but I’m sure someone would see it as an issue .

SynchroSwimmer · 22/04/2020 21:34

Sail on a private (hired) yacht to the Faraway Islands, and go on big snorkel adventures in deserted coves with crystal clear water and maybe swim with some dolphins 😂, followed by lunch on deck...
(Bag is still actually packed - but waiting on a refund for what was a booked trip...)

CeibaTree · 22/04/2020 21:58

I'd go to Kew Gardens to see the bluebells. And get my brother to meet us there :)

Waxonwaxoff0 · 22/04/2020 22:02

I'd go to my mum's for a coffee. Then I'd go to Costa for another coffee. Then take DS to the park, followed by a meal out.

golddustwomen · 22/04/2020 22:02

Go straight to my dads, kids pool out, music playing, drinks flowing. I would never ever leave again!

ellanwood · 22/04/2020 22:03

I'd take the kids for a walk through the woods to our favourite cafe for breakfast, then into London for an exhibition and a show, with dinner at a restaurant and maybe a boat ride on the Thames.

CaptainWentworth · 22/04/2020 22:09

I would take DD to nursery and go to work!

picklemewalnuts · 22/04/2020 22:13

I'd be miserable. I've really enjoyed lockdown. Not the inconvenient bits, the difficulty getting certain foods and stuff. But the quiet. My mother knowing that I won't be going to see her because I can't. No obligation to go to meetings, social events... just peace. I've got into a good exercise routine, so I don't even miss going to the pool.

AllDruggedUpWithNowhereToGo · 22/04/2020 22:15

I would join the ridiculously expensive gym with the salinated Swimming pool... and not care that I resemble the size and shape of a whale... and swim everyday

FrangipaniBlue · 22/04/2020 22:20

Go swimming in the nearest lake.

I cannot believe how much I miss it.

Ilovelala · 22/04/2020 22:21

Drop my kids at my mums for a week

Crunchymum · 22/04/2020 22:51

Take the kids to inlaws. Mine have missed their granny and grandad so much (me too!! Love my inlaws)
.
I'd then leave them there for a month Grin

SpillTheTeaa · 22/04/2020 22:56

Run to my mums front door and have the biggest hug.

PhilCornwall1 · 22/04/2020 22:56

We'd go out for a large drink or 6!!

The boys are of an age where they can sort themselves out.

CloudsCanLookLikeSheep · 22/04/2020 23:01

Straight on the phone to recruitment consultant to get a new job! Hate it where I am, was trying to leave before / bide my time waiting it out for the right thing but feels like I have missed the boat now.

On the more 'pleasure' side, eyebrow wax followed by cheese platter and wine flight at my local wine bar.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 22/04/2020 23:02

See my mum, Nan and sister do they can meet my baby. He’s 15 days old. Took 3 long years and fertility treatment to get him here as well as a traumatic post delivery. It’s breaks my heart they haven’t been able to meet him and gave cuddles. He won’t be a newborn by the time thus is over.

DaisylovesDonald · 22/04/2020 23:08

Get up and go for a swim in the morning. Walk in our local woods and lunch in the cafe. Spot of shopping in the afternoon followed by either cinema or restaurant. I can’t wait.

Ooh actually my very first thing will be a trip to the hairdresser! And then all the other things.

unlimiteddilutingjuice · 22/04/2020 23:10

I'd take the kid to soft play.
Then Maccy D's
Then hang out at home for the afternoon. Get dressed up and meet my gal pals at the pub in the evening for a catch up.

WyfOfBathe · 22/04/2020 23:11

Go to the gym. It's been my place to de-stress since I was a teenager and it's what I miss the most. Then head to the shops with my DC for a mooch in the charity shops and a big syrupy coffee in my favourite coffee shop.

Assuming it was over globally, go and see parents and PIL who live in a country with stricter lockdown and have been very stressed.

kateandme · 22/04/2020 23:17

why wopuld you all be going to live life as nom, ral!the virus doesnt wave goodbye once its lifted.nothing has cha nged.they just can no longer keep you in lockdown.but absolutely nothing has changed in virus, trnasmition and danger terms

Deadheadstickeronacadillac · 22/04/2020 23:24

Go to school, abandon the teenager to his school and the little one to her nursery and then go and annoy all of the teenagers I teach for a few hours.
