Anyone watching Grease? C4

I have very mixed feelings over this film but it' decent entertainment. DH has never watched it and is suitably 'wtf is this'.

What's that in my continue watching list? Oh yeah. Its Grease. So you can take back your thinly veiled liar accusation.

Loved it as a kid (90s kid), no idea about the pregnancy storyline, straight over my head! Also thought it was made in the same era it is set in... So as a teen I was very confused about John Travolta still kicking about and not being that old

I also prefer Grease 2

I loved Rizzo in this. Also Kenickie was way hotter than Danny😊

I was also an embarrassingly devoted Grease 2 fan as a kid —and ensuing adult—

I loved it when I was younger!! I watched it earlier and I just thought how were these men ever meant to pass as 18 , I tried to get my 5 y/o to watch but she wasn’t interested...

I first saw it when I was 8 and have loved it ever since. As I've aged I realise how old they all look for high school students. I'm sure most of the actors were in their mid to late 20's. Coco and Kenickie have died, sadly.

The characters could certainly get a lot of MN threads out of what they go through

If you prefer Grease 2 you should be banned from ever watching a film ever again

I don't think I've watched since I was 13 and DC have been laughing at me singing along to it! Really cheered me up (together with a couple of glasses of wine).

Love it! Went to the sing a long version at the cinema a few years ago!

Now my DD is getting older (teen) we are also watching loads of john hughes classics like pretty in pink and the breakfast club.

I've recorded and will watch when dh isn't around.....could have a long wait 🤦🏻‍♀️

I agree with pp just enjoy it for what it is. Olivia Newton John looked insanely hot as a ‘bad girl’ ... those trousers so tight!!
John Travolta straddling the engine in Greased Lightning ...I mean c’mon it’s a musical set in the 1950’s made in the 1970’s it’s hardly likely to be a vision of enlightenment.
I love it!!

I enjoyed it for what it was on the whole. I hate the bit in the dance competition where Sandy gets bundled off and he carries on dancing with whatsername. Sandy should not have gone back after that.

I don't care much about the end bit with her changing for him because Your'e the One that I Want is a great tune.

Love this film! I’m 10 years old watching it in the cinema for the 1st time, dreaming of meeting my Danny and wanting to be sexy Sandy when I grew up!

But he turns up in a cardigan to the last scene; he is changing for her too. Then quickly whips his cardigan off when he sees she has gone all hot girl.

DH says he prefers girl-next-door Sandy. I feel oddly insulted by that.

Can someone summarise the plot of Grease 2 for me I have never seen it. Is it a continuation of Danny/Sandy or another lot?

It's still the T-birds and the Pink Ladies but a different cast playing different characters. Michelle Pfeiffer plays the female lead Stephanie Zinone, and she thinks she's outgrown the T-birds and wants a 'cool rider'. It's an entertaining film, and definitely worth a watch, I think.

There's a song in Grease 2 all about 'Reproduction'.. Hilarious. I was thinking about Grease for my two tweens. Just showed the Ferris Beuller.. Apart from a few 'shits' and 'piss me off' it's fine

My parents let me watch it when I was about 7. Most of the references went over my head! That part about "her jugs are bigger than Annette's" - I just thought they were talking about actual jugs...

Grease 2 is incredible. It doesn't take itself seriously at all. It's a lighthearted, fun watch. I grew up with Grease, only came across Grease 2 a few years ago but genuinely prefer it as entertainment!

It bears very little relation to Grease besides having T-birds and Pink Ladies. The main guy is supposed to be Sandy's cousin.
